Where has this been all year.....beast!!!!!
"I hate everything about this job except the games, Everything. I don't even get affected anymore by the winning, by the ratings, those things. The trouble is, it will sound like an excuse because we've never won the national championship, but winning just isn't all that important to me." Al McGuire

He is the difference between being a good and a very good team. Very happy to see him on the court.

Bump.

Don't want Ed's nice game to get buried in the game craziness.

Yeah wow he's really come alive. Love the way sacar has been playing too. Think they'll be difference makers on Thurs/Fri.

TJ

Love Morrow. Hoping he has 6 more nice games like tonight. Plays like a beast out there.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Yes, Ed was beastly, especially in the first half. But even as he was making plays, I was thinking "hopefully he doesn't start to play outside his role." Sure enough, he tried to take his man one on one and traveled. Then put up a contested 17 footer.

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

And he really didn't do much with his extended run in the second half.

Seems like that 4th foul took his game away as he didn't want to pick up the 5th with no Theo to sub in for him.

I don't need to see that face the basket 12' jumper again.

IMO, Morrow is a great back up post, bringing energy and hustle.   But he is only 6'7 and last night he had to play extended minutes without a safety net.    And he got exposed as a 6'7 post when he had to try to go long term, as opposed to shorter bursts.    I really thought that Wojo should have played Matt more last night.

I'm sure Matt is a nice fellow and all, but he can't grab a rebound to save his life. It is mind-blowing.

And at times, it seems to rub off on Theo, Jamal, Joey, Sam.     Theo's third foul came because Cain and Sam butterfingered a rebound out of their hands and to the SHU player.     You play Matt for a couple of minutes so that Ed can gather his energy.

Thought for a while it would be Morrow's coming out party before Breeding determined it was his. A very promising start to the game for Ed.

Exposed? He had 7, yes 7 offensive boards against a team that punished us on the glass late and was 3-6 from the field. He didn't get exposed at all

Defensively in the second half, and on the defensive boards after Theo got ejected.    I agree that he was a difference maker in the first half.    Loved it.

Completely agree re Heldt. I was shocked he didn't put Matt in for the last 2:43 of the first half when Ed and Theo had 2.  I commented then there is no way Theo goes this 2:43 without getting his third, put Heldt in. Well, Theo went 2:42.9 as it played out, even though it was garbage. Turns out that foul was rendered moot, but it likely would have come into play. Ed was gassed too in the second half and a big stretch that killed us we got beat 4 or 5 time for O boards that a taller player may have gotten. Just a few more mins from Matt may have helped.

It is crazy how often we mis-handle rebounds or have two guys in position who knock it away from each other right to an opponent. Very similar play cost us the Gtown game off the missed free throw late.

Boone

Saw enough of Matty in his 2-minute run to know that he was outclassed. His hands were ornamental and he got pushed around. Wojo saw it too, and out Heldt came. Thankfully!

Cain too. It's hard to express how lost he is on a basketball court

Last night was back to bad Cain.
It is really crazy that you can see it sometimes within the first 15 seconds if he has it or not.
