Former MU great Brian Wardle has Bradley in the Missouri Valley final tomorrow against Northern Iowa. Impressed with Wardles ability to build programs without significant resources.

Hope Wardles team gets the win. It would be fun if MU met Bradley in our first tournament game .

Good for him, one of my all time favorites.  Always good to have a short list of possible replacements, too.  Particularly alumnus.

Well, we all know where this thread is headed...

In all seriousness, good for Wardle. It's always good to see the MU family succeed.

They had a 17-14 regular season. Not exactly tearing it up.

I hope he does well in his career and wish him the best but I don't have any interest in him coaching at MU.

Listen, anybody that can recruit kids to come to Peoria has gotta be on a shortlist.

Yeah, look at Wojos seasons with all his pedigree and resources and his current trend. That must be your reason.

I think they're a 15 or 16, so I don't think that's happening.

I'd say 13 or 14. 0% chance they are a 16 seed.

I loved Wardle as a player and truly hope he succeeds as a HC, but at this point he has a long way to go to be ready for a job at MU or any high major.

He's been a mid-major HC for 8 seasons, is .519 overall, and has yet to win a single postseason game (0-1 in the CIT and 0-2 in the NIT). For comparison, that's worse than Bob Dukiet's record in 7 seasons at St. Peter's (.678 and a couple of NIT wins).

Maybe if he has a couple of really great seasons at Bradley....

Facially, Wardle reminds me of Crean.    Better hair.

Yes, Brian is a good guy.  But, he does need to get some really solid seasons and at least an NCAA bid under his belt before moving up to a more major program.

I like Wardle, but he has done NOTHING to deserve MU job

Huge call for Bradley.   Great run, too.

Wow, Wardle and Wojo have something in common.   Bradley player got mugged going for a rebound without getting a foul call.

Gene Steratore doing ref analysis for college hoops too?? Is this what we're going to get during the tourney. God I hope not. Making a fool of himself every time he opens his mouth

Apparently, refs don't want to "decide the game," so they stop officiating in crunch time....

Bradley prevails and Brian now has an NCAA appearance on his resume.
