OK, here's what if.  Xavier beats Nova today (game still going on).  Do you let Howard sit on Wednesday and play Nova without Howard knowing you have 2 games up in the loss column?

Yes, let Markus heal for the stretch run. Game isn't must have.
No, go for the jugular vein.
Depends how hurt MH is and time he needs to rest to get healthy

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Just a guess, but if Wojo was comfortable letting Markus play while up 20 in the final minutes against Providence, I can't imagine he is that hurt.

TAMU

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

I think it's a pointless question to ask since we don't know the extent of the injury

cheebs09

Still a Q1 win opportunity I believe. I can't even imagine the thought crosses Wojo's mind unless Markus could do further damage by playing.

Probably right, but thought it worth the discussion.  We have three games next 10 days.  If he sits (which is not how I voted), it would mean 7.5 days to heal up from yesterday.

The other part of the question is whether he risks further aggravation.

Yup.

I think it's safe to say the coaching staff knows better than anyone that this team is hitched to Markus' wagon and they're not going to anything to risk his availability for a tourney run. If he's playing, it's because they're confident it won't make that injury worse.

This.

Unless something happens in practice from yesterday-Wednesday.

I don't see how he sits out when he played to the horn in a blow out.

this and play him judiciously.  suit him up and play him, yet try to get brendan and cain some more quality time.  don't give up on this one as it's still a quality win if we can get it(we will :)

what's up with koby, mike and/or buddy?

at Nova is always going to be Q1. Not possible for them to fall outta the top 75 lol.

Our home win vs them will be out of Q1 tho...unless they beat us I'm guessing.

One of the silliest things I have seen on Scoop.

I love how I am ignored by Jockey......your slip is showing.

OH Canada.....now that is silly and dumb.

I dunno, is it dumb and dangerous?

I don't think so. If he is hurt, don't play him. But since he played until the end yesterday, my guess is that he is not hurt.

But to sit him otherwise, is foolhardy. We have a very good chance to win the BE outright. To advocate to purposely jeopardize that seems crazy to me.

Silly thread. Markus was playing all game in a blow out where he absolutely did not have to be in. I think he is fine

Interesting results.

60% open to the idea of sitting outright or potentially depending on severity of injury and time needed to heal for longer term.

I thought that number would be smaller with more saying go for the jugular

Probably because most people are taking this thread for what it is. A joke.
