The question speaks for itself. I voted option 5.

I really wish you would have titled this the "Matt Held" poll

CountryRoads

Out of curiosity, what is that gesture the students do when heldt comes into the game? The one where they hold their arms out and move them up and down. I'm out of the loop on what that means lol

bilsu

Reminds me of the friendly bet I lost with my brother. I said Bill Neary would be drafted. Back then the NBA went 10 rounds, so it was not such a reach as you might think. The trouble was teams after 7 rounds started passing on their picks. I think that was the first year that every team did not make their 10 picks. It was not long after that that the draft was changed to two rounds.

The draft process could be stressful for Matty. Hopefully, he can use the tried and true bone spurs excuse to avoid military service.

Had two bros at the DePaul game fill me in on this so shout out to them- I'm sure they are on here so we can officially meet

It means the milkman, his nickname. The motion is that of milking a cow, or a goat for me since that's my experience. Thoroughly enjoy it and will use it to the fullest on senior day

I just watched the championship game on YouTube again the other night and though "who is that dude?" When I saw Neary. Coulda swore that Toone was in the starting lineup.

The forgotten starter.

Correct: "MUScoop has bandwidth to spare!"
Incorrect: "I suggest you increase your broadband width so that the MUScoop's load faster"

I'd bet he's going to be a grad assistant next year

Bill was not forgotten. He started all our games because he was defensive. He was tough as nails.

Toone  starting?  Not as long as Al McGuire was head coach!

Actually, Matt is considering law school when he graduates.

I believe Wojo went to law school at Duke while an assistant coach, so ...

He's taking a gap year prior to Law school 83.  A year as a grad assistant taking 3 credits as he studies for the LSAT makes perfect sense although I've heard nothing about that specifically.

God love Horton Roe.

To the tone of a widely broadcast credit card commercial:

"How many Hortons are in your GPA?"

Neary was our Bill Lambier. Nasty player. The sort Al loved - Goose, Luke, J, Lucky, Marcus, et al...

If Toone had a quarter of Neary's heart he would have been All World. I often wonder how much better Toone and O Lee could have been if they weren't playing stoned every game.

Al's greatest strength was that he allowed his players to play. His greatest weakness is that he should have been stricter with them off the court. But then it wouldn't have been MU Hoops under Al.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.
