MU NY

1.  Turn up the D...that is what we are known for and given our one dimensional offense, we'll need to create as many baskets as possible from turnovers.
2.  We are not a half court offensive team...return to the slice and or slice and dish mentality...we should be going to the free throw line 20-25 times a game.
3.  No more weave up top...my CYO team could defend that scheme.
4.  Fitz...please take a shot...at least square up to the basket to give the impression...
5.  Barro and Burke are not single handedly responsible...when our guards don't penetrate, we put  B&B in a tough position.
6.  Re-bound that basket-ball.
7.  Get creative but no alley-oops...who do we think we are?
8.  Minimize the scoring droughts during games...let's stop losing and certainly by 20-plus points.

Slashing to the hoop is not going to help unless we can knock down shots which we have not done in the last 2 games (except for garbage time v. UCONN).

However, I agree that pressure D. needs to be played at all times, and we need to DOUBLE TEAM any big man we face from now on. we had more then a few steals from Padgent and Thabeet when we double team. When we don't its easy pickins against Burke and Barro
"I don't give a damn if he can't do nothing else. He can shoot, and I love the way he shoots. I don't care if he can't dribble, can't rebound, can't play defense... that kid can shoot the ball." - Tracy McGrady on Steve Novak

I felt this way during the post-Wade/pre-Amigos era, but the weave can actually be pretty darn effective when your guards are quick and the opposition is playing man-to-man. I do think we could run it much crisper and that would help get some mismatches and give us some cracks to get to the rim.

No.  However, they are mediocre on defense and pose no threat what so ever on offense.  You cannot collect assists when a ball goes through your center's hands and off his face.  MU has no inside out game and therefore are forced to take contested shots whether it is in the lane or behind the arc.
