Bloomberg is probably more famous but Daley is more influential.  He has many former advisers/allies in the White House.  He can still turn out political foot-soldiers and has something still of a political machine.  Bloomberg doesn't, as far as I can tell.

Are you his press secretary?  I think your koolaid is spiked.

Michael Bloomberg???

Outside of Chicago does his name ever come up.

Plenty of influence over the Dem. party.  His name does not come up because that is the way he wants it.

DePaul University undergrad and College of Law grad. EDIT: Sorry, didn't see Hizzoner in the pictures above. Far and away the most influential, if not the most famous, current DePaul grad. Maybe the most powerful mayor in the country.

Also the State's Attorney who took advantage of torture of suspects by Detective Jon Burge of the Chicago Police Department to put many innocent people in prison.  He never looked into any complaints against Burge, he just took advantage of the "confessions" obtained by torture.

And then there was his clever circumventions of a federal court order to depoliticize city hiring, so he could hire employes who would campaign for his reelection.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Not to mention the time he illegally plowed under a working airport in the middle of the night so he could create a garden for his wife.  Thank god nobody had to divert that night.

Famous for elevating criminals and "community organizers" to positions way beyond their capability.

I remember when I was a freshman in 2000-2001 they came out with a Playboy titled "Girls of Conference USA"
The two things I remember were that the Marquette entry was the girl who handed out French Fries at the East Hall cafeteria, and all we saw was her butt.  Than the DePaul girl had a picture where she was topless playing Playstation 1 with the controller over her Wet Cat.   (Note that I left out the Hairy, as Playboy is not about bush,  they are however totally about landing strip.  Now Hustler an Swank; those were about Hardwood floors)

I believe Dennis Deyoung of Styx is also a DePaul alum.  They got a nice chunk of entertainment stars for their alum

I like UM, but I don't think they qualify as famous.

This one band you never heard of that lives in chicago has a bass player where the guy went to DePaul for two years than transferred to Wright Community College.  Not sure if he finished up though.

Come on Umphrees McGee??????   Must be some weird Jam band or something.

So you have heard of Umphreys McGee? So they are famous. Kiss also blows old man. UM tours nationally routinely selling out large venues. And this guy who went to Wright Community college your talking about, no one knows who he is, hes not famous.
