Morrow won’t be leaving. He’s already transferred once. The odds he transfers again (even as a grad transfer) are super low.

Yup. This is as dumb as Scoop gets.

Hardly.

Have you actually read the posts? They're not crazy. They're not pessimistic. They're just looking forward a few months and asking what if? It's not nearly as outlandish as you seem to think it is.

Just take a deep breath. It'll all be OK.

Hope you are right, really the most important player coming back as a sub.  Need him, he stays MU will be fine upfront.

You’re right. I forgot. Jamal is already gone, as predicted by Scoop.

Very inteligent stuff from these transfer predictions.

Markus is not leaving.

But If he did that basically eliminates the already slim odds of Sacar leaving.

There’s really no possible way we lose all 4 guys.

Why would Cain leave if playing time
Opened up thanks to Morrow, Sacar and Markus leaving?

Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

He'll (most likely) be eligible to transfer and play right away as a grad.  I think the odds are significantly higher that he does because of that.  Doesn't mean he will, but both Ed and Sacar should be eligible to grad transfer if they chose to.

I don't see it as much of a possibility at all with Sacar.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

You’re aware that less than 2 months ago Scoop was saying Jamal is gone at semester’s end, right?

Sigh. You said this thread was as dumb as Scoop gets. And now you're complaining about a different thread with different projections. This thread is fine. If it becomes more like the one you're all hot and bothered over, then you can feel free to call it dumb. Until then, relax.

Unless we lose one of Markus, one of the Hausers, Theo, and maaaaybe Sacar, this is a top of the BE roster regardless of whether any of this years players transfer (Cain and Ike seem like most probable).

This roster is absolutely loaded - our greenest contributors next year will be Joey and Bailey. Woof.

It is exactly what that thread was. There’s literally no evidence suggesting anyone on the roster is gone. This is as dumb as Scoop gets, and that’s saying quite a bit.

My guess is that Matt and Chartouny are gone, and Dexter shows up.  Pure speculation, have no insider info so don't ask for a source.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

It should be very interesting to see who comes back next year.  First off Howard, I would say 50-50, then there is Sacar and Morrow both grad transfers, hope both
comeback but they both may leave.  I can see Morrow for sure.  Then there is Eke, doubt he will ever play.  Cain another one, not sure.  If they all leave, MU instead of
a Top 10 team, will only have 7 players coming back.  Torrence will be pushed to come in right away leaving 8. So it should be a very fluid spring at MU.  I am hoping they
all comeback for a big run. I still can see MU trying for grad transfer who can play the 4 or 5, thoughts?  Hope this is more than a 1 year run, 2 or 3 more like it.
When a team has a chance to win a National Championship , like this one would have next year, literally no one will leave unless forced to. It is a once in a life time thing.

Morrow will get more minutes as his health improves so why would he leave .  Sacar is a kid whose high school team won the tournament 4 years in a row, so his motivation is toward being on a winner. There is always someone who will be hurt etc so minutes for Cain are always going to be there. Torrence wants to play right away and will only show up if Markus is leaving. Markus will only leave if you start seeing him in the top half of the first round of mock drafts. No reason to leave and then go play in the G League playing in front of 1200 people in Erie PA.

Ike is most likely going to be medically retired, if not then he steps into Cam's role as the spirit guy

In the meantime lets bask in the glory of 18-3 7-1 and knocking on door of top 10.

I tend not to worry about this stuff in the middle of a season, let alone the kind of great season we're having.

But just for a little perspective, folks DO think about this stuff. After going to the Providence game with family and friends, I hung around for a few more days and went to the DePaul game with my best buddy from my Marquette daze. He lives in Detroit now and follows the team, but not nearly as closely as we do here. He never heard of Scoop (gasp!) and he doesn't go on any other MU sites. In our first 5 minutes talking about the team, he said: "We should be really great next year, right?"

Personally, I'm super-excited about our 2018-19 Warriors, currently one of the top 10 teams in the entire nation, 18-3 overall, 7-1 in the Big East, headed for the Final Four. I'm not even thinking about 2019-20. But ...

Scoop is a fan site. Those who don't want to participate in this thread need not do it. I know that I'm not going to waste much time here because it's all silly speculation. But those who want to speculate for the 100th time that Sacar and Cain might transfer ... whatevs. It certainly doesn't pi$$ me off at all. I hate soccer and once went on the soccer thread to make fun of the sport; I was (correctly) told that if I don't like soccer to butt out. So I've butted out.

I don't think there will be a ton of disappointment or frustration around minutes if we keep playing this well. After all, winning cures all.

Really, this.  If you're on a good team with a higher ceiling next year, why leave?

Sure, some could, but unless Wojo specifically tells them they'd be better off somewhere else, I'm guessing everyone except for Heldt and Chartouny are here.

Edit:  Well - should add Ike status being 100% unknown.

I don't say this often, but I agree with Herman/MUFINY.  This is a potential Final Four team next year.  Would someone really leave for "more exposure" on a mid-major team when they have a chance to say they played on the MU 2020 National Champion team?  Naw, they all want to don their tuxes and get their pic taken with a classic limo!

While we're at it: Coach K retires after winning the championship. Wojo signs on the dotted line and goes back to Duke after losing to Duke in the Championship game. Terrence de-comitts, Sam, Joey and Markus declare for the NBA, the rest of the team are released from their LOIs and free to go else where. MU hires Ners as its next coach. I think that should do it.
