Two AP #14 teams losing on the same day?  For that matter, two teams tied for an AP rank losing on the same day?

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I want to say there were two #25s earlier this year that lost on the same day. Could be wrong. Will look it up tomorrow if nobody beats me to it

I respect the coaches poll way more than the AP.  Most coaches have walked the walk. AP just talks

Those doing the walking aren't necessarily the ones doing the voting.

If by "Most coaches" you mean the graduate intern that they delegate their votes to because they don't have time for this nonsense then yes you are correct.

Personally, I have found the AP poll to be a more accurate representation than the coaches most times.

No surprise here. You seem easily duped in all aspects.

GooooMarquette

Coaches have walked the walk, but they couldn't give a $hit about any team that isn't coming up on their schedule. Most of the coaches in the poll probably haven't seen much more on MU than a few Markus highlights....

As others have said, most coaches don't fill out their own ballot, which largely makes that poll a joke. At least there's some level of accountability with the writers. And honestly, how many coaches are watching all the different leagues in their spare time? Even if they wanted to they probably couldn't fill out as informed a bracket as someone paid to cover the sport.
