Just saw an article on espn that mentions the UCONN AD looking at possibly cutting sports.  Seems more and more inevitable they will eventually roll into the BEast.  I'm sure this has been discussed here but didn't see a thread and it's been awhile since I've been out here.

Just drop football already.

An independent arbitrator has ruled that UConn improperly fired former men's basketball coach Kevin Ollie and must pay him more than $11 million, Ollie's lawyer said Thursday. The ruling comes one day after UConn's athletic department reported that its budget deficit rose from $43.5 million to $47.2 million in the 2021 fiscal year.

In reality, it's not as bad as listed.
More than 75% of the figure was the sport scholarship accounting shell game of lost revenue of "not paying tuition" (along those lines) and another was the shell game of a state institution paying rent to play in the state owned XL Center and Rentschler Field.
