I recently rewatched last year's game at Creighton.

At that point, Marquette had lost 7 of its last 10 games and came into Omaha with a record of just 14-11 (5-8 in the Big East). Creighton was 19-7 (8-5), looking to lock up an NCAA bid.

They were well on their way to doing just that, leading by 15 in the second half. But MU rallied to shoot down the Bluejays 90-86 -- with Markus Howard on the bench for the last 25 minutes of the game due to a hip pointer injury.

Rowsey played a big role. He scored 21 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 8 assists against just 1 turnover. Sacar turned in a career-best 26 points and added 4 assists. Sam posted 15 points and 8 boards. Jamal and Greg stepped up big time. Playing a combined 34 minutes, they contributed 15 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals between the two of them. A huge win.

So guess I have to agree with the OP. If there's no way Marquette should have won on the road last year, there's absolutely zero chance of doing it this year without Rowsey. Zero. That's just stone cold logic.
