Last two matches have been thrilling OT penalty kick affairs.  Good luck to the men today.

MUfan12

Poor defending on a GU corner. 1-0 Hoyas 10 mins in.

brewcity77

Unfortunate goal largely against the run of play. MU has looked like the better side but that header was decisive.

brewcity77

Georgetown leads 1-0 at the half. Marquette controlled things early but couldn't score. GT got one off a set piece against the run of play, then really controlled things most of the rest of the half. MU with a strong push the last 5 minutes, but couldn't equalize. Survived a late threat to keep it close. 45 minutes to steal a NCAA bid.

MUfan12

MU should have had a goal after the GU keeper hit his own man and spilled it. A few minutes later, a poor touch leads to GU's second.

2-0 is so harsh on Marquette. Looks like the run ends here.

brewcity77

Georgetown wins. Marquette unjustly denied a goal, then Georgetown doubles the lead on a really unfortunate bounce off a Marquette defender. Scoreline was a bit harsh, but I do think Georgetown was the slightly better team. We had chances and couldn't take advantage while they made the most of theirs.
