I have a question for you guys lucky enough t be around for the 77 season.  Was there a primary championship t-shirt for the 77 season and what did it look like? Was it either of these?

There was a shirt.  It was navy with a gold image.  Looked kinda like that first one you pictured, but that's not it.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Does anyone have an image of said shirt?

I remember this one Brew has.  There was another that was white with a blue banded collar the bookstore was selling.  Can't remember the print on the shirt.  Gave it to a buddy who had the displeasure to move from Florida to Madison.  He framed it to put over his bar.  Pretty sure it's real popular out there.

They only one I can recall is the one where Al holds the banner. Unlike today there wasn't a flood of Championship memorabilia...

Friend of mine did this shirt--not MU. He hired a friend to do the drawing and another guy to do the screen printing. He came down to campus every day for a few weeks, set up a card table and sold a ton. Al stopped by the card table one day to admire the work and get a freebie. MU never went after him. A few years back, they were selling them at the Spirit Shop.

MarqPTM and myself sold Da Kidds (Don, Wes, Jerel) t-shirts a decade ago.

Someone in the athletic department did try coming after us but luckily local legend Craig Pintens had our back.

I saw quite a few of these shirts around.

I still have a couple.  The light blue with the characters (like the gold one linked earlier).
Also one with the team surrounding the Excalibur car.

That shirt is awesome. Time for a reissue, MU.

I have a tank top in that design (except it's gold with blue trim), and the stein on the upper right!

Edit: I also have the pin that the kid on the lower right is holding.

Why the hell is the dude in the upper left holding a lit lighter? Surprised no hair went up in flames in the effort to take this picture.

The lighter is a nice touch. What is the guy on the right holding?  Part of a single prop from a Cessna?

A part of a bumper.  It is to show the number sticker.
