Official or unofficial?

He'd be a big time get and he's on my most wanted list for 2020.

2. TOP 50 JUNIOR TORRENCE IN THE MIDST OF OFFICIAL VISITS

One of the most competitive defenders and guards in the class of 2020 could have something cooking on the recruiting front.

Tough-as-nails guard Symir Torrence just wrapped up an official visit to Butler over the weekend and he makes his way to Marquette on Monday. Next weekend, Torrence will be on the move again when he takes an official visit to Cincinnati.

There was a lot of buzz surrounding Torrence and the Bearcats after he made an unofficial visit during the summer. Can Mick Cronin lock him up on this visit? Can Butler or Marquette get him before he makes it to campus or is he just making effective use of rules that allow juniors to make official visits? I would look for some clarity on that in the near future.

Need me a pair of those shoes.

Slightly off topic, but at the TBT games at the Al, I was sitting in the same section as Mo's dad, and he had on one of the hooded vests that we wore for warm-ups like twice.  I have a feeling that it was just lying around somewhere in the Al and he was able to take it since Mo was long gone when we had those.  need to find one for myself.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

That's about a 1/2 hour drive from the Harpoon Brewery.

Not insider info, but there was a nice writeup about his visits so far on Zags:

http://www.zagsblog.com/2018/11/02/symir-torrence-visits-butler-marquette-cincinnati-up-next/

Quote
He broke down his visits on Friday:
Butler: “The Butler visit was pretty good. I just felt comfortable and on that visit I got [the message] that if I go there, I would just be getting better in every situation that’s possible.”

Marquette: “It was good. Coach Wojo asked me what he needed to do to get me there, and said that this is the spot for me. He felt like he can help me in any way possible, and he can make me better off and on the court.”
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Good > Pretty Good.

I immediately thought the same thing, as ridiculous as that is. Sounds like the visit went well. From his videos, Symir looks very quick and athletic. BTW, that's a pretty good goatee for a kid who's what, 16 or 17?

This new high quality young prospect is the residual benefit of having recruited Jeenathan Williams. They both came out of the same AAU program and the good word got to Symir.  Lets sign him up. I like that Butler and Cincinnati are in the mix ,nice to see him pursued by other quality programs .

I saw him at at last week's Carroll game.  Recognized his mom's outfit from the tweet.  He appeared to be paying very close attention to the game, wasn't buried in his phone, etc.

Met him as well...very respectful and well mannered and seemed to enjoy his stay. He and Greg are pretty close it seemed.

A fair chance he returns, but might want to finish the process, despite the exuberance and assurance that "he will sign with us' I heard said... We'll see.
