Damn joe you've been scooping a lot recently after a long hiatus from anything but Soccer and Beer threads.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Gotta give the people what they want, albeit semi-clickbait articles.

QuoteEven though Marquette has struggled a bit in recent years (just one NCAAT appearance in the last five seasons), this does not mean we should gloss over the successes of the program when taking into account the entire century. Specifically, the Golden Eagles had a stretch of years from 2005-05 through 2012-13 in which they did not miss a single NCAA Tournament and reached the Sweet 16 in each of the last three years in that span.

I am very hopeful this is the come back year.  Not a lot of bad years this century. I see in the FF articles Wojo wants to get us to be an electric program...and then realize he has never experienced the craziness that was, except for a few games.

Good to be back in the rankings and have the buzz of the new arena. The last five years have been a drag...mostly because we had it so good before that. Honestly, MU fans have been very loyal as the drop off in numbers has not been steep.  But, it has been what came before that has sustained many of us. Nice to have some swagger back.

I think they've been so loyal because in the past five years three of the non NCAA seasons everybody thought e had a realistic shot at a bid going into the last few games. If those seasons had all been like the 14-15 season it'd be much worse

Gotta question a list of successful basketball programs that includes Louisville. Would you call Bernie Madoff one of the most successful investors of the 21st century?
