I read about this. NBC is spinning off most of its cable channels into a new company including the ones they planned to show sports on like the USA Network.  They need some place to show the sports rights they purchased so the NBC Sports Network is sort of reborn.

Bye bye youtube tv. I've now gone full circle.  Bundled spectrum tv + gig internet. Spectrum bill went from $100 to $160.

But after mathing....

Yt tv: $98 per month
Disney/espn: $25 or something
Hbo max: probably like $10
Paramount: around $10

Since spectrum tv comes bundled with all of those, I've saved a bunch of money at the end.

Ill be back next year when spectrum rubs their nipples.

Its incredibly scummy that this wasnt something automatically applied.

My annual Disney+ subscription was about to renew so I wound up canceling YTTV going with the DirecTV streaming middle tier bundled with Hulu, ESPN Unlimited, and Disney+.  Has local channels, Marquee, Chicago Sports Network, and all channels MU will be on this season.

CBS Sports Network and FS2 require the higher tier but MU doesn't have any games on those channels scheduled this year.  Might bump up next season if needed to get those.

I'm using my neighbors password. Direct TV menu and the way to change channels is crappy. I enjoy multiview on YoutubeTV way to much to give it up. Hope a deal is done soon.

What's your monthly and is it a promo price?

FYI - Peacock has a new Premium tier (10.99+tx) that you need to watch sports including tomorrows game.

I think it's always been premium and premium plus (no ads).  "Select" is new and cheaper, but no live sports.

That is a great question.

To the best I can figure out.. month 1 is $85 plus a signup fee and months 2-24 are $140/month.  Have the option to cancel anytime if need be.

The bundle allowed me to cancel my YTTV ($85), Marquee ($20), and Disney+ ($16) and gain Chicago Sports Network ($30), ESPN Unlimited ($30), and Hulu.

Appreciate the info. I have satellite DirecTV (dinosaur emogee) and they just increased both the cost of the plan and regional sports package fee while reducing my loyalty credit by $10.  >:(

Just plugged my old antenna into the back of the TV to find that I get ABC as clear as can be.

That means I can watch ND-Pitt, OU-Bama, Texas-Georgia, and MNF if I want to. I don't have DVR capability, but that's ok.

YTTV and Disney strike a deal.

YouTube TV and Disney have reached a deal that will restore ESPN, ABC and other channels to the platform's 10 million subscribers after nearly a two-week hiatus, the companies announced Friday night.
The new deal will give YouTube TV subscribers access to ESPN's new direct-to-consumer app as part of its service, which is most notable for WWE fans as its major events, including Wrestlemania, are now part of that offering. YouTube TV subscribers pay a little more than $80 per month.

So I'm a little confused.  I see that the UW/BYU game today (originally slated for peacock) is on NBC Sports (on YTTV).  Does this mean big east hoops will also be on the channel...and I no longer need Peacock?

I am guessing in a lot of cases, when multiple "NBC owned rights" games are on, they'll decide which network/platform to put them on depending matchups.  And if it's anything like CFB, they'll save the more marquee games for the 'Cock to drive subs there (so maybe with MUBB not looking so good, more games on NBC Sports?)

Perhaps.  I couldn't find a comprehensive NBC Sports schedule, perhaps @Mr. Nielsen will have updates as time goes on.  I guess I'll keep peacock for now.

I think the stuff on NBC Sports on YTTV is supposed to be anything that was supposed to air on USA Network or one of the NBC cable channels that they are spinning off into a separate company.  I saw in an article on new old NBCSC.  (But not confirmed.)

It's the million dollar question. So, far every college basketball scheduled game on Peacock in the month of November is scheduled to be on NBCSN.

There are a couple of overlapping date of games. The one date that involves Marquette is March 4th at Providence.

Winter Olympic coverage of the Gold Zone (whiparound coverage) Does that limit college basketball coverage where you need Peacock? Not sure.
