Interesting figure in the subject of Just War and ethical responsibility for those authorized the use of lethal force.

His specific case was the osmotic reverse of the Waffen SS Nuremburg "I was only following orders" Defense.

I think the jury remains out in assessing his culpability in a dark stain in the history of the US military.
