He's not hiring an agent, so he can still come back to school next year. I'll be curious to see how this goes for him.

Late lottery pick?

Like really, really late.

Lmao. I think that may be the one that gets the NBA to reconsider this new process of having guys declare.

Lol.

He could still go pro though, right? Just curious - maybe that's an option? Play in Lithuania or Siberia or something.

Wish him well.

Yeah, he's going to get free notes from dozens of NBA scouts, for free, and then go back to school.

Sounds like a great, grounded decision.

Why would he waste his time with NBA scouts?  Scoopers have already told him everything he needs to know...

Good choice. Wouldn't mind nor would I be surprised to see some of our players (Howard & Anim come to mind) do the same.

BTW. How is Ellenson doing as a pro? Have not heard anything about him.

A few minutes here, a few minutes there.  Couple of easy rebounds, and a bunch of DNPs.

Do scouts really waste their time on kids like HC?  There has to be hundreds of kids closer to the NBA then HC...if it's a great decision why wouldn't all kids do it.

I was wondering the same thing. Do scouts spend time with anyone who declares for the draft? If they do, why don't more guys declare without an agent?

Herman Cain

Haanif was on a mock NBA draft in the late second round  for a period time before the season started. So he goes gets evaluated and comes back a better kid for it. He will play overseas for money someday.

I'd be very surprise if that happen.  I don't see them ready to test the waters and think they have more upside to their skills.
