It's 3 on 3. It was never going to be Delgado

I would take Delgado over Rowsey in 3 on 3.  I don't think Rowsey could guard many players on even the lowest D1 basketball teams in a 3 on 3 situation.  Delgado at least would have a prayer.

Who on the BE team guards Yante Maten?  Or Jock Landale?

There will be a ton of spacing on the floor, so I'm guessing they place more value on being able to get open and shoot. Doubt there will be much defense, especially conventional low post D. This should really suit Rowsey well.

Who needs to? Their respective teams pound it down to Maten/Londale for 2...we get it out to AR30 or Blueitt for a 3.

The 3 vs. 3 tournament is also being played by 1s and 2s to 21. So even if Rowsey let his guy by for a layup everytime Rowsey would just need to hit 11 3's before the other guy made 21 layups to win the game. With the additional spacing in 3 vs. 3 I would pick Rowsey over Delgado given those rules.

"Intersport's 3X3U National Championship will follow general international 3-on-3 rules:
One basket on a single half court
Two teams of four players (including one substitute per team)
12-second shot-clock
One point per basket inside the arc, two points per basket behind the arc
First team to reach 21 points or best score after ten minutes wins"

THIS should really suit Rowsey well.
Over/under on seeing a 3-pt play in this tourney?

3X3U National Championship
3X3U National Championship
CHICAGO (March 7, 2018) – Today, the Player Selection Committee for the inaugural Dos Equis 3X3U National Championship announced their nominees for the inaugural event. The Player Selection Committee, consisting of college basketball experts from a wide range of media outlets including ESPN, CBS Sports, The Athletic, USA Today, NBC Sports, The Ringer and more, voted on their 3X3U nominees from all 32 Division I college basketball conferences. They announced an early-season watch list in December, and today announced an updated version through conference play.

The Committee's final selections will be revealed through a series of studio shows streamed live on Twitter once a day from Monday, March 26 through Thursday, March 29.

This ground-breaking new event, created by Intersport, will pit 32 four-man teams representing every Division I college basketball conference against each other in a three day, 3-on-3 tournament. These teams, comprised of seniors who have exhausted their collegiate eligibility, will compete for a $100,000 prize pool viewable live on Twitter and ESPN2 from Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 1, 2018 at St. Mary's University's Bill Greehey Arena in San Antonio.

what round would this happen in

One of the gems I gleaned from the Xavier board today is that Kelan Martin declined to participate. Next man up was Rowsey.

I imagine the Loyola-Chicago guy will also have a substitute.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

I read that too, but didn't see where it came from. In the end I wasn't totally sure whether they had evidence, or just guessing it would be Martin.

Q-How much does the 100K impact the competitiveness?
A-I might actually play a little defense.

Ok, which booster dropped the ball and didn't give Andy his defense payments during the season?

Hey, I wrote the checks, but he never cashed them.  Maybe I shouldn't have stashed them in his defensive playbook.

In the movie "Draft Day" they do something similar. Before the draft they send prospects a playbook with $100 bill taped to the back page. They know whether or not a player read the playbook based on if they ask about the $100 bill.

Not a great movie but that's what this post reminded me of.

Big East just lost their first game to the ASun, 21-14. Rowsey went about 1/6 from 3. JP Macura's defense was horrendous the whole game.

If the a sun loses and they win they are through. 3 way tie breaker if a sun wins.

According to the Cal Poly basketball twitter, Big East plays the Big West at 2:40 Central. Last night, the game started about 10 minutes early I believe.
