Oregon coach really sulking as he walked off the court, wow.

skianth16

Wow, what a first half! It looks like they're putting it all together today. Really a good, complete half of basketball.

nyg

That was fun, need to keep this lead thru quarter number 3 for security, no lead big enough.

MU has six players with two fouls.  Oregon has 15 points from the line for almost 40% of their points.

up 20 at half? Let's keep the feet on their throats, hey?

I thought Oregon was suppose to be a good shooting team rather than score in the paint. I'm nervous that we have that lead, hope we don't play like we did in the final minutes of the Harvard game; especially if Oregon starts pressing Howardd and Rowsey.

Mr. Sand-Knit

Any further opinions from the Howard as a capable point guard next year peeps?

What's the NIT record for most points in a half?

Importantly, nobody has 3 fouls. Cain is key. Sammy and Greg can barely move. Long season and both are really, really beat up.

Great half.  Perhaps the best of the year.  Let's see if we can do it again!

especially if Oregon starts pressing Howardd and Rowsey.

They already played the press for a while, it was marginally effective, but they were clearly wearing themselves down running all over the place.  Plus they jumped at Rowsey for a foul and it pretty much ended the press.

I'm sure they'll try it again though.

Love the play in first half. Rowsey great, Howard marginal, Anim great, refs honk, and Froling 2 fouls in about 20 seconds.

Agree.

Only negative - fouls.  18 trips to the line for Oregon.  15 points off those trips.

Herman Cain

Lets come out strong in the second half.

No lead is safe.
Yeah. Buzz with a 20 point lead at Louisville with 5 to go, and crapped the bed. The Louisville meltdown.

Jay Bee

Gave up 58.8% 2FG% and put 'em on the line often. Oregon with 1.09 ppp.

So, defense wasn't good. Offense, great. #pray

Have some patience, FFS.

Mr. Sand-Knit

Great half
Cain playing like the ball has lube on it.  Rowsey great start but he just needs to not get too carried away
Theo, greg, matt, and sacar have been good.  Hauser hopefully gets his shot going after that make.  Howard needs to learn to play hard even when his shot is not going in,  he acts compketely flustered n pouts when his shot doesnt fall.  Kudos to wojo for just benching him when he does,  greg is better than a sulking markus

14 fouls called against us...we didn't foul that many times.  Several were phantom fouls.

I believe 38.  Oregon in their last game.

Looked it up... Bradley scored 72 in a half against Xavier in 1957. That is also the all-time record for a college game at MSG.

Oregon is hacking away when we have the ball and they are letting it go, but then calling every touch/grab against us.

What were the refs even discussing?  The defender never came close to stopping moving at any point.
