After the last 5 minutes, I'm feeling pretty good about my decision to leave the Al at the half to catch the rest of the game at Soblemans. Watching that dumpster fire of a fourth quarter without a few beers in me would have been even more brutal. And the 100 small children around me would have learned a few new words too.

20 wins. Extend wojo

Actually it only takes 2 consecutive wins in November in Pre-Season NIT to earn contract extension.

There was an entire thread a few weeks back where a number of people vociferously argued that Markus Howard can play point guard next year.  He cant dribble, he doesnt pivot, he doesnt pass fake, has poor court vision.
He literally has none of tge attributes of a point guard on a decent d1 team.  I hope tonight illustrates how in trouble MU is next year if Wojo actualky tries to play him at PG.  From dribbling, to handling pressure to passing from the pick and roll he is simply very bad and next year would be a disaster.  Hopefully people can see that better after tonight

Nothing about that was enjoyable.
Disagree...gives the staff.some good motivation for next game...draw up better plays to bring the ball up...
What was not enjoyable is seeing.injuries to hauser, Cain, and possibly Elliott

That was bad. That’s all I have to say.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

disagree. Markus played PG  well until the full court press.  It's a 5 man team and he.needed help. He tried to play hero ball dribbler..that is correctible

Man we could use former MU great Marvin Diener.  My favorite insight from the broadcasting crew. Serious intensity from MU tonight!

LOL

Mervin, hard to pick the worst part of the announcing but that might have been it.

While I agree that it was a tough game to watch, you need to give some credit to the Harvard D at the end. They did a really nice job of executing those hard, aggressive traps.

Umm wrong... huge parts of breaking the press are jump stopping, pivoting and pass faking.  None of which he did.  Add in the dribbling off his leg, the jump passes, etc and im sorry but you are dead wrong.

the easiest way to break a press is the pass after the.inbound pass, this is where we were lacking. Watch the tape...OK. I wouldn't wish.that on anyone..

Who are the announcers?
Mitch Holthus (play by play) and Mark Adams (analyst)

I think wojo made a good point in his post game interview with homer and Mac that our press breaking ability relies so much on Sam. He's incredibly smart, good free throw shooter,  handles well for someone 6-8, and is tall enough to make passes over the top.  Markus and Andrew should have been able to handle it by themselves tonight, but Sam brings so much to this team that our press breaking ability very obviously suffered when he couldn't go.

So Markus was fine when he was guarded loosely. Not real encouraging.
