Notre Dame knocked out by Davidson LOL

ChitownSpaceForRent

I'm still stunned the Bonnies got in. I mean seriously...

brewcity77

Notre Dame was the team knocked out? That's pure BS.

And SOS....and more Q1 wins....and a win against a top 10 team in RPI
Yeah I don't see the gross disparity between MU and Cuse that some do

Not sure why people are surprised. Team is too inconsistent. It was a growing pains year, lots of highs and lows, next year NCAA tournament should be a bare min goal.

Perhaps Sultan can take us into the way back time machine and stalk people's claims during Year 2 of the Wojo regime.  Pretty sure the staunchest supporters here of Wojo - Hagansworld, Jesu84, Tower, yourself, felt we'd be a strong lock for tourney in Year 4 of the Wojo regime.

Should we pay a visit to the way back time machine?

Go ahead. That would be fun!  I honestly have no idea what I said in year two. It would be interesting to see!

Notre Dame first team, out!

Syracuse was the last team in.

I was referencing the non stop posts over past two weeks explaining/showing why we should be in this year. Not saying this crew was high on team early on, but last couple of weeks some felt we had very good chance.

I can't speak for others but I know I am not on this list. Always said year 4 would be a step back due to mass graduations.

My bad.  Perhaps you didn't.  I just wouldn't think "mass graduations" of empty cupboard scraps left over by the previous administration would have had any value...to where we'd take a step back once Wojo got "all his guys."

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Notre Dame being first team out makes no sense to me. I thought injuries weren't supposed to be considered.

When is the NIT selection?  I'm boarding a 4 hour flight in 20 mins...

And yet still makes more sense than Syracuse. Thought outlier F4 runs from previous years weren't supposed to be considered

We're devoid of Tournament talent. Frankly, after 32 games you are what you are. If the talent level isn't elevated significantly, nothing positive will happen and the head coach will be history, hey>

Why would I think that? By then those players were going to be seniors and be better. Not better to the level that would get us a high seed but graduating a bunch of starters usually leads to a step back.

Sounds like fun.  I may have been wrong two years ago about this team (horrors), but I did pretty well as the season approached.  And after Haanif left, I lowered my expectations and explained why.  Pretty darn close.

Outside of Nova and Xavier being #1 seeds, the committee didn't seem to think the Big East was all that strong if you look at their seeds

I don't disagree with this in a vacuum but we're compared to the field. Not even being in the first four out contradicts everything the chairman just said. I think we have a legit case for getting screwed the hardest

What opinion have I not shared? So, I'll say it again for you. I believe program has made limited to no progress over past three years. In addition, I expect similar performance next season due to very large void in upper end talent. Furthermore, I am 99% convinced the HC cannot win without better talent.

So we don't have talent, out coach can't win without talent, but we made the tournament last year and were right on the edge this year.

Those statements don't compute.
