Really gonna miss watching Andrew play.  Kid was a baller and talent. Had a ton of heart.

Kudos to Wojo for landing him and getting him to Marquette.

Hope he gets to go out in NCAA tourney, but if not, hopefully a great run through the NIT.

Thanks to Andrew for all his hard work and efforts put in on behalf of MU.

Andrew truly the definition of a warrior. Knew it ever since his jawing sessions with a future lottery pick from the bench

One of those few players where I never thought he rested on a play; always hustling.

Andrew, we salute you.  Thank you for playing as a true Warrior with plenty of grit and fire to win.  You are a winner and will do well.

LoudMouth

There is no one like him. Love to have him, hate to play him. Glad he was with us for 2 years. He's not done yet though!

Rowsey is the kind of person college Basketball should always be about.   Not the "one and done" but the hard working 4 year player who might not have every gift but works his tail off to make the most of what he has.   Most importantly, by all appearances, he appreciates it.

I think this is spot on. Guys like Rowsey are why the college game is so much fun to watch. Seeing him tear up when he came off the floor shows how important MU hoops is to him. Would have been nice to send him off with a better game, but I'm glad he at least had the kind of Senior Day he deserved.

GooooMarquette

Gonna miss Andrew. The crazy long threes, #thething, the swagger.

There are better players out there, but nobody puts more of himself into the game.

Dude told Fox his favorite book was "The Cat in the Hat."  That's a baller.

Third highest MU offensive value added season this century behind #3 and Sam. For a little guy, big shoes to fill.

One of the best offensive players I've had the pleasure to watch at Marquette. Also one of the worst defenders, but he still was maybe my favorite player on this year's team. Like others, hope he gets a shot at the NCAA tournament.

Will miss watching him play.

Rowsey is a once in every 20 year type talent. I have really enjoyed him the last two years as well.

Once in 20 years? He's a good player. But we are in a LOOOOOOT of trouble if we don't have anyone as good as Rowsey in the next 20 years.

This.

I truly enjoyed watching Rowsey play these last 2 years, but let's not get TOOOO overboard!

I mean, among the Warriors of the last 20 years: DWade, Jae, JFB, Lazar, etc.

Again, glad we had Rowsey. But please.

To be fair, Hermie didn't claim he was an all-time great like Wade. He claimed he was a "once in every 20 year type talent." Of which, his talent was offense and which many stats put forth here have supported his claim...such as offensive value add.  It just so happens that another one of those offensive talents (Sam) also plays with him.  Coincidence?

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Absolutely love that kid. One of a kind. He will be sorely missed next year and he's definitely one of those players this fanbase willl never forget

In a few years, we will remember the shooting and have forgotten the defense.  Thanks, Andrew.

If I could replace one starter for one game with Andrew Rousey, I would have replaced Junior Cadougan for him on March 30, 2013 in the regional final against Syracuse.  My thinking is that Rousey would have been able to shoot over that zone Syracuse played and it might have opened up some things for the others.  We also would have scored more than 39 points and might have taken the game down to the wire.  However at 5-10, he would have been the shortest player on that team and Triche and Carter-Williams might have had better games than they did.  Either way, that MU team couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat that year from 3pt range so he would have been a welcome addition.  The shooting would have got him on the floor but his defense would not have kept him on the floor.
