Some Further Creighton Stats
« on: February 18, 2018, 10:44:19 AM »
  • Yesterday's crowd was the 10th largest in Creighton's history. Gotta love this conference.
  • At 1:33 of the first half, MU had a win probability of 3.5%. See game thread.
  • MU shot well in both halves (53.3% vs. 58.8%).
  • Excluding Thomas, Creighton's starters were 2-15 in the 2nd half from the field.
  • MU had only five fouls in the 2nd half, with 3 of those on Matt. CU only shot two free throws. In the 1st, MU fouled 10 times and CU shot 13 free throws.
  • CU shot 13-17 from two in the 1st, and 8-16 in the 2nd.
  • For BE play, MU's opponents get 76.4% of their points from two + FTM. In the 2nd half yesterday, it was  54.5%. More impressive, CU scored 20 less points in the 2nd.

MU out rebounded Creighton 33-22, including 13 offensive boards, a few of which were extremely critical in crunch time.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

And converted.  MU with a 20-10 second chance points advantage.  Senior called this out after the game.
