I honestly don't believe Rowsey and Howard can be on the floor at the same time.

Cain and Elliott need more court time.

Every good team we play can get any shot they want!  The degree of difficulty on our shots is much higher than our opponent, each and every game.  Not a winning recipe.

Howard is the worst defender I've seen at Marquette.

Rowsey would like to show you more of what he can do

Did you get a chance to see Niv Berkowitz?

I feel like he puts up a fight, just short. Howard is Swiss cheese.

I actually get the opposite impression, which probably just means they both suck

The fact that there's a debate about who's worse, makes my point.  The team is far better with one of them on the bench.

MattyWarrior

When was the last time we got blown out, oh yea, two weeks ago

Warrior1969

This team has given up 89 or more SIX TIMES already in the BE  This is the worst defensive team I can remember at MU EVER!

GoldenDieners32

maybe try a zone so rowsey and howard each dont have 2 fouls at half

94Warrior

I'd like to see Rowsy come off the bench for the remainder of his time at MU.
Need to set a defensive tone early in the remaining games.  Start Elliott and put him on the opponent's best guard.
Doing what we've been doing is #soft.

GoldenDieners32

Sac, Greg, and Jamal need to play together on the floor more best 3 defenders on the team

This. That. The other. Says it all.
Zenyatta has a lot....a lot... of ground to make up. She gets there from here she'd be a super horse......what's this.....Zenyatta hooked to the grandstand side....Zenyatta flying on the outside....this....is...un-belieeeeeevable!...looked impossible at the top of the stretch...

I can see that occasionally...but doubt it would work for long stretches.  On offense, Greg and Jamal show promise, but I'm not sure either is ready to be a go-to scorer.  I do want to see Greg and Jamal getting more and more minutes though.

I really like how Sac drives to the hoop but he never gets any calls, wish jamal would drive more i know he has a nice 3 point jumper but i feel like he falls in love with it too often, greg just needs to keep doing what sac is doing taking it the rim and try to get calls.

Not trying to rip on these kids just something id like to see from them

Don't get distracted, we're talking defense.  That's really all that matters if this season can be salvaged.

6-2 will not happen if we continue to give up 90 points.

If anyone should come off the bench, it should be Markus. Like it or not, we need Rowsey running the point. No one else on the team is comfortable handling the ball for extended periods, and it shows. We need Rowsey on the floor to run the offense. He'll continue to start, and he deserves to continue to start.

There is no defensive scheme or lineup that Wojo can run with at this point in the year that will be good enough for us to be a defensive-focused team. We need as much offense on the floor as we can if we want to win. Gotta start Rowsey.

Run the offense? The offense is fine.

I'm talking about holding a team under 80.

I'm taking about keeping the opponent from feeling like they are in a layup line.

We don't need as many scorers on the floor as we can get.  We need to stop taking the ball out of the net at a ridiculously high rate.

Markus and Greg were the only ones competing tonight.  The only ones.

"The defense needs to be addressed" was addressed before the year began. It was going to blow. How bad was the only question. The answer has been 'pretty bad, not quite as bad as last year, but still crappy."

Easy.

The saddest part isn't that the team doesn't enjoy playing defense.....we dont even seem to think it's part of the game. Our last 3 opponents relish playing great defense. Butler out of necessity, X and V because they want to be great, not just very  good teams.

Sure we can be fun to watch when our O is hitting on all cylinders...but I had the most fun watching our KO teams hold team after team to 35% shooting. It's amazing our crowds can even get into the game, when D is always the best way to rile a crowd up.

Hope that's not the same approach for next year.

Greg is my favorite player on the team .  He keeps improving and when his thumb is finally healed we will reallly start to see some exceptional performances from him. He is our best defender because of his length and his ability to use that length intelligently.
