ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

Some teams lose by 20 to top 10 teams on the road. Others lose by 20 to 1-7 teams in the mid major B1G conference.

How's Gard doing buddy?

You dumb.

1) both male
2) both coaches
3) both have S's and I's and a few other letters in their names.
4) both lived in Durham NC at one point
5) worked for team USA
6) have hearts that beat that pump blood.
7) make more money than you do

I could go on but in too busy enjoying a fine whiskey right meow.

That misspelled user name though. Seriously what kind of sh*t for brains do you have to have to screw that up when it's your username?

Polish last names.   Division 1 basketball coaches.    System works best with elite talent.    If you actually look at Duke the last few years, other than their championship season, their defense has been leaky.

Damn, I should have checked to see who the OP was.    Duane's back!    Shorter than your normal drive-by rants.

Couple of other things. Both played for and assisted great coaches. Both went to a tournament in their third year as head coach. K-NIT, W-NCAA. Both have lost in the NCAA tourney to an eventual final 4 team.

Both have a lot of respect for each other.

In 10 years we'll be able to draw even more similarities....but of course it would be foolish to compare Wojo's career to K's at any point. Heck, who could withstand that. I'll bet even Al couldn't pass that test.

This dipsh*t doesn't post unless Marquette has a rough game.  The only responses should be insults directed at him.

Wrong.

Unlike you, neither is a brain-dead douchenozzle.

Oh, and both would love punching you in the face.

So there's 2 things they have in common.

Watching UVA-Duke.    UVA hedges ball screens with their big and then had them recover.     All of UVA's players have length.   UVA stays home a lot more and counts on their bigs to guard one on one in the post, with occasional random double teams.      UVA is the standard by which all other defenses are measured.    To me, it appears it starts with good one-on-one defenders with length.    Stay home on the 3 pt shooters.    But their guys are able to contain one on one.

Duke looks frustrated.    Like it has appeared over the last few years as they have had more one-and-done's and fewer program players, they appear to struggle to grind it out.   Easily frustrated.     Front runners, not grinders.

K appears to have fixed them at half time.   Zone.

A lot of length in that zone!

And the length has quickness.  It appears some paint was blistered at halftime.

They play the pack line defense.

I know what it is.   I think that you have to have the right personnel for it.  Length and mobility as well as good one-on-one defenders.    It has been suggested that MU could cover its physical inadequacies by running it.   I don't see it.    There is no defense that compensates for two tiny guards.

I'm not sure Duke's defense was the issue in the first half. They had given up 32 points.

The one thing I will say about UVA's defense is that every player knows what they are doing on every single play.    Every single rotation, double team.    Never a step wrong.  Never a late help.     Good coaching.

They execute the scheme as if they are one.

Have not seen Duke play much last couple years, but they have always played tough defense. Far akin from Wojo's teams. There is nothing basketball similar to Duke and Wojo coached MU. Hell, Coach K can out recruit Wojo from the K's bathroom.

Since Duke in discussion, a lot of talk about Young from Oklahoma, but good gracious, that Bagley kid is something else.  Believe he went for 30/14 today.  Tall, quick, and athletic.

Wojo coached defense and the bigs at Duke.
