In the 70's Keith Jackson did NFL, MLB, Olympics, racing also on ABC. Here is some highlights.

Also, did college basketball with Dick Vitale in the late 80's and 90's.

First Monday Night Football game Browns beat the Jets.

1971 Daytona 500: Richard Petty won his 3rd Daytona 500.

1972 Summer Olympics: U.S. swimmer Mark Spitz wins seven gold medals

1975 Indianapolis 500: Bobby Unser won the race that was shortened by rain.

1976 Summer Olympics

1977 World Series: New York Yankees vs. Los Angeles Dodgers (including Reggie Jackson's 3 homers on 3 pitches)

October 2, 1978: AL East Playoff New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox (Bucky Dent's HR).

My 1st semester at Marquette.  10th floor McCormick.  Sox fans on the north wing.  Yanks on the south.  A great Marquette memory.

Those college football games back in the pre cable pre internet era were always something special. Keith really captured the essence of the sport.
The only mystery in life is why the Kamikaze Pilots wore helmets...
