We need to have at least one win against Xavier, Villanova or Seton hall to have a chance. The next game is our best chance.

False.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

False.

Exactly.  If MU goes 10-6 in the conference and gets swept by SH, Nova and X, they are still in the tournament.

I'll be very worried if we go 10-6. Why wouldn't they play the last two games of the season. Global Thermonuclear War?

Yes, they'll be like an 7 or 8 seed.

9-9 with 6 losses to X, Nova and SHU still more than likely has then inside the cutline.

Don't get me wrong, winning 1 of the remaining 4 games against those those thrwe teams would ease a lot of pressure, but Ws are not requirements to dance.

If we play decently, we can beat Villanova at home, and can beat Xavier also. Have not seen SH play.
But we need more than Markus. More emphasis on Hauser, and Rowsey to quit playing like a dufus. Isn't he a 5th year senior? And Froling? Somebody said he is a 3 point shooter. When will he start making some? If Froling can step up and match his alleged potential with performance, MU can go a ways. Right now he is just another big with fouls to add.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

NCAA routinely factors in Q ratings into its formula for bubble teams. That LSU Ben Simmons team was soooo close.

Like I said, they first have to be a legit bubble team.  Simmons' LSU was not.

We hear these kinds of things, but I don't think there's any truth to it at all. Sometimes there's just no way to avoid a storyline, while at other times there are obvious storylines by seed line they avoid. If anyone can provide specific examples of storylines or Q rating determining bids/matchups, I'd love to hear them.

I agree with that, but they are not likely to sweep the other 5 teams. Last year they beat Villanova, Xavier twice and Creighton twice, which more than offset other Big East losses.

Take care of business against Depaul, Georgetown, St Johns and PC.  The hardest of those 8 games has been played and won.  That is 8 wins right there.  Assume at least one slip-up.  Call it 7.

That means win 2 out of 8 remaining games against Seton Hall (2), Butler (2), Creighton (2), X (1) and Nova (1) to get to 9 wins, 3 to get to 10 wins. A win tomorrow helps alot, but it is not a must-win in any way.

Plenty of ways to skin the cat.
