Remember: Book Drive Before ND Game

Just a reminder, before the Notre Dame game on Saturday .. Joani Crean is running her annual charity Book Drive. In lieu of books, cash will also be accepted to purchase gift cards to bookstores. The books will be distributed to pre-kindergarten through eighth grade schools as part of the seventh-annual School Children's Book Drive, sponsored by Women in Support of Marquette Athletics (WISMA), spearheaded by Joani Crean, wife of men's basketball coach Tom Crean."Every year our wonderful volunteers and I look forward to collecting books to hand out to Milwaukee area schools," Joani Crean said. "The annual book drive is an event that the Marquette and Milwaukee community have given generously to in the past. The greatest gift we can pass on to our children is the love for reading."So .. even if you don't have a book to donate, you've got a fiver burning a hole in your pocket. Give it up as you walk into the Bradley Center on Saturday.

this is awesome!!  ND will come to learn how to play basketball and leave with material to learn how to read too!  how thoughtful!
