Majerus really hung his guys out to dry in the press

I was rather surprised.  Dan Patrick ripped on him a bit this morning for it.

I don't disagree with his sentiments, just surprised he said them publicly


The current roster was recruited by former coach Brad Soderberg.

"It's like being a stepparent. I didn't pick them. They didn't pick me," Majerus said of the players. "They are trying hard. They are trying. It is a process. The effort is good. If it wasn't I would say it publicly."

I don't think it is that bad, its the truth... These players don't play his style of basketball, you usually recruit guys that fit to your system.  He gives them a big up for their effort... hell what do you say when your team scores 20?  That the players are playing your style of basketball, and its a joy to watch?

Truth or not, you can't do that to your guys.
