That's great news.  He certainly had one heck of a week (Freshman classification aside).

My guess is it won't be the last time either.  Congrats to Jamal.

Awesome! He has been even better than I hoped. If you can steal, dunk from well above the rim, and nail 3-pointers you have a lot going for you.

There was one rebound against GTown where he just kept rising to secure it. Remarked at how springy he is. He's got a huge upside.

Good for Jamal.   He uses his length well on defense and on the boards.  I particularly like him finishing at the rim with his left hand.  I look forward to watching him develop.

Interestingly his skill-set, length, and athleticism might have him as most likely to be an NBA rotational player on our roster.  Long way to go, but upside upside upside.

Congrats to Jamal - well-deserved!

As others have said, he has a huge upside.  Keep working hard, young man....

D'Lo Brown

Perhaps he would have supplanted Haanif anyway? Either way, glad we have gotten to see him develop on the court.

Herman Cain

Great job Jamal. Your bringing pride to the Cain family.

Well deserved and very happy for him.  is FOTW honored every week of the season or just during BEast play?

I hope he knows that this doesn't mean diddly squat until he gets a Scoop SOTG
