We played real bad down the stretch. Now with a minute I think we got it. But not until now.  Glad they are real bad.

This end was ugly. But you really thought we might lose?

Nothing like the stall offense to willingly allow the opponent down by double digits to get back in the game

It was four straight possessions down to one on shot clock.  Bailed out by a foul on Rowsey and a miracle by Rowsey.

Rowsey.  Wow. We get crushed tonight without him.

GU. 25 turnovers and are still close. Ugly game.

muwarrior69

Sure does not feel like a win. We just stopped playing offense the last two minutes of the game.

The team is not very good unless rowsey, howard, and hauser are filling it up.

Howard has gone complete full on [crap], cant make a lay up and cannot even be counted on to handle the ball in late game or full court situations.

Hauser very solid needs to be much more aggressive n shoot more.  Nothing more frustrating then when Hauser passes up a gois shot n passes to Howard who chucks up a force.  Hauser needs to realize hes prolly a better shooter than Howard.

Hauser is not athletic enough to create his own shot against more athletic defenders his size.   Needs others to create space for him.  Can't argue against Markus being in a slump right now.

I did about the time heldt n howard airballed layups n they hit 3 3s to cut it to 6 with 2 plus left. Got alil luck with the bailout foul on rowsey with two secs on shot click closely gurded from 28 feet

Ahh, they don't give a crap. At this point, it reflects almost as poorly on them as it does on Sand-Knit. Sad.

I agree howard is going to shoot more than Hauser all things being equal because he has the ball in his hands n hauser needs to get open.  However,  i am referring to hauser shooting on a higher percentage of the times he does get the ball.  And specifically to the times that Hauser has a wide open shot and passes it up resulting in a deep contested chuck by howard.  Happened once in the second half.  And happens alot

Once a half = a lot?    Seriously, it isn't in Sam's nature to force a play.   He won't force a 3 out of rhythm just because he think he is a better shooter than Markus.   Not the way he plays the game.

Markus will be just fine. The Hauser is not athletic enough narrative is way over stated.  SH is underrated and doesn't get the credit he deserves. What else do you want the kid to do.

I love the kid.   He plays defense, handles the ball well, particularly against the press, rebounds well, passes well, hits open shots.   To say he has trouble creating shots against taller, quicker players does not mean I have anything but the highest respect for him and his game.   I do.   But when he tries to create a shot against a 6'9 guy who is equally quick, he struggles a little.   Sam is the glue.   And the Big East scouting reports are saying so, too.   So they are having his guy run him off the line and not help as much.   Good coaching.

Agree and what u are saying speaks to what i am saying.  Sam does not shoot unless he has a open shot.  Im just saying i wiuld rather sam, with his size take a few more "questionable" shots and howard with his size take a few less.

Additionally it happens more than 1 time , there was one time in the second that was very glaring where sam passed up a open 3, also could of driven and passed to howard who was double teamed by two taller players n threw up a total brick.

Tower will argue anyhting i say

I agree with you but I look at his play and his stats compared to wes, Crowder and lazar for example as sophs and hauser's are better. i feel because he is a tall white guy he gets labeled and stereotyped and I'm not sure it rings true. he's a sophomore, he is going to have trouble getting shots off of tall experienced players

I get that.   His stats are great and I love his game.   To say someone has a flaw in his game does not mean I dislike them.   I loved Dom, he struggled from the foul line.   I loved Jerel.   He had a terrible habit of driving the baseline, elevating under the backboard, and throwing the ball away.     I love Sam.    Right now, against guys his size in the Big East, he is struggling to beat them off the dribble.   Not mad, not hating, just watching

This one was never in doubt

They took a 3pt shot...off front rim when we had a 6 pt lead. I've seen it happen. For 39 of the 40 min I was certain we would win but we screwed up so bad that I wondered what if when that shot was taken. GT being awful was of real comfort though.
