Like Galileo before him where the powers labelled him a heretic for proclaiming the world is not flat, so to it in this case with the Grand Mapmaker of Wisconsin hoops.  Mayor McCheese must be stewing somewhere in despaired basement exile, ready to pounce again and proclaim The Cartographer was again wronged.
The world is not flat?? Many would beg to differ !!

Ahh, but the Mayor's efforts to glorify the Cartographer shall be thwarted by the Galloping Ghost of Kaukauna:

Jalen Johnson is the real deal. Very impressed with unselfish play and looks like he has high ball IQ.

Curious for your thoughts on Baldwin if you watched him as well.

I like Baldwin a lot, but like Foster and Johnson more. Johnson has become my guy.

So McCabe over Herro.  How does that happen to the greatest basketball player to EVER put on a uniform and play hoops in Wisconsin?

Watched McCabe tonight... great player but his act is nauseating

McCabe was fantastic tonight. Just thrilled the felon on Milw Wash didn't win. He is quite the talent, but should not still be in school, much less on the basketball team.

McCabe is going to be a very good college basketball player. Herro might be a very, very, very good one.

Don't get me wrong, McCabe is an extremely talented offensive player and he won the game for Kaukauna down the stretch.  However, I would not call his game tonight fantastic.

He scored 35 points on 33 shots and was 7-21 from three.  Kid loves to chuck, that's for sure.  Also doesn't seem to care about playing D.

I personally will be shocked if he lasts at West Virginia.  Who is he going to guard when he gets in the Big 12??   Wish him well though, maybe he will prove me wrong.

Yeah, I gotcha. I would say fantastic 3 final minutes when he was needed to win back to back state title games for his team.
As far as college, WVU plays full court pressure, in your face D. McCabe sometimes doesn't even get back to the defensive side of the half court. I am not sure how that marriage is going to work.

Actually it was 2 titles in 3 years. La Crosse Central defeated Cedarburg last year.

#fakenews
As Cheesy/Tommy pointed out, basketball didn't even exist prior to Herro, so obviously no one previously put on a uniform in Wisconsin.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Will be interesting to see where the felon ends up after his prison term.

Hmmm, he and the Huggie Bear will get along just fine then!!!!!

It's early, but is MU showing any interest in Foster? Very impressed with him.

This. And he's heading to Hillcrest Prep in Arizona next year.

But the track record of freshman verbals becoming signed NLI ain't great.  A lot can happen over the next few years.

Eye

Based on what saw the last two days, wouldn't be surprised one bit if he ends up at a top 10 program. Who'll be top 10 programs 3 years from now with all the FBI stuff in tow could be a lot different than what it is now. Hopefully MU turns the corner and is back at or close to the level in a few years. And the one-and-done rule could be gone three years from now. A 6-9, 14-year-old freshman that looks smooth shooting 3-pointers ought to be a big prospect when he's senior.
