I have watched the games and what is not showing in the numbers is Duane is playing under control and making good choices when he is in the games. The coaching staff has responded positively to that approach by Duane.
Really?  It's great to see him putting up numbers and being a valuable member of a good team (again), but really?  He's as explosive and dominating as he was at MU AND he's as out of control as he was here.  The only difference is the glasses you are looking through.

He would have made this year's team better, IMO. Very happy to see him on a good team and playing well.

Subbing assists for rebounds he been a slightly better version of Sam Hauser. His shooting % is better than anyone not a center, his Ft% is better than anyone except Howard and hid assists to To ratio is better than Rowsey's. If up and down describes his play it also describes MU's best players (Sam, Markus and Rowsey) and is a level above everyone else on our team.

What's exactly the point of cherry-picking stats to compare him to multiple MU players at different positions? Certainly not to show he hasn't been inconsistent, because it fails to do that.
In three of his five games, he's shot 7-for-18  from the field, including 1-for-7 from three. In the other two, he's 13-for-19 and 4-for-6.
He had 20/6/12 in his first three games, 37/3/10 in his last two.

Please enlighten us on how this reflects something other than an inconsistent player or in any way contradicts what I wrote.

What's exactly the point of cherry picking stats to "prove" that a player whois off to a very good start (not average or OK but very good) has ups and downs? That's the nature of the game and is just as true for Sam, Rowsey and Markus (or anybody) as it is for Duane. So I pointed that out.

I'm not trying to enlighten "us" with that bit of news since people who follow basketball already know it - just those who would denigrate Duane's very good start with a "meh, up and downer" characterization.

Herman Cain

Duane started and had 13 points 2 assists and 3 rebounds ( 4 to)in 23 minutes in Texas A and M impressive road win over #10 USC. The coach likes Duane's leadership .
