Got away at the end but plenty of bright spots today. This is a fun team

For getting hosed on a bunch of calls in the first half, we stuck with them pretty long.  Eventually, the Shockers were too big, too strong and too good today.

Let's get em tomorrow boys.  Go Warriors.

Agreed. They had more weapons. We have only have 3 strong ones, and got nothing out of Hauser. Put up a good fight though.

Once it was 45 all, and MU took some bad shots to lead to Wichita points, you knew it was over then. It's too bad, all the missed shots or not, had MU just taken better shots during that stretch, they may have won this game.  :(
We were still in it well after that. We just couldn't get open shots to fall

Marquette's defense is awful and that fact stands out even more when 1) they play a good team and 2) MU's offense sputters.

No shame in losing to a strong, veteran team. Gotta get back at it tomorrow.

If we hit half our open threes we win this with relative ease. Disappointing, especially since it likely means no ND matchup.

Since they have already lost one now, I'd rather have the easier game and a realistic shot at a W. Remember, too many losses at season's end isn't good either.

Really didn't think the defense was that bad today.

WSU hit 80 late when it was over.

And a lot of their offense came from

Was I harsh to you earlier? Yes. Was it warranted? Kinda.

Rowsey and Howard are clearly MU's best scoring options but when they combine to take two-thirds of the team's shots and only account for 3 assists, MU isn't going to win.

Not how it works that was way back when I was in college.

Hop in the time machine and dump it to Froling after first semester finals. Duh

How can you win when only two little guys are working their arses off and nobody else can score?

We played much better on defense against a big strong team.

Won't win many games when the rest of the team makes a total of 5baskets while shooting under 25%

Sam's foul trouble really took him out of the flow offensively. That's what was missing most today

When an opponent shoots 54% from the floor and scores 40 points in the paint, it's hard to give the D much credit.

Figured it was easy to grasp.

Poster said "what bright spots"

I said a bright spot was that a top 10 team didn't clock(another word for destroy) us. And that when we take better shots we will be able to win a lot of these games.

Honestly this team has grit that I haven't seen from any wojo team yet. Defensively we're way ahead of wojos previous teams. We have two legit, dynamic scorers. We have freshman that are contributing, but more importantly have high ceilings. And we had our chances to win this game but for our shots not falling.

I just like this team. And I'm the first to admit I haven't enjoyed watching any of wojos previous teams

Exactly,  Rowsey played like a ball hog today, has to realize he is 5'10" and every shot is not a great shot.  One thing Wojo has to do is sit him a little as he got tired
in the second half, so did Howard.  Missed a lot of shots.  When Sam does not come to play they will be in trouble every game.  Cain has to hit open easy shots and curious does Elliott have any offensive game?  Love his athleticism but need something on the offensive in.  Plus the offense is so guard oriented, need some scoring
out of the center position.  I am really interested to see how he uses Froling in the middle.  Supposedly, he can pick and pop, but not sure this offense is for him.  WSU
is good and deep.  I bet Willis would be starting for MU, he made a big mistake not coming to MU.
