I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

DJO's Jaw

1. Haanif
2. Sam
3. Sacar

Honorable mention Greg Elliott

I'd have to go with Anim. His slashing changed the game when we finally made our run, his defense was solid, and he came up with big rebounds. Great example of how a redshirt year can really pay off.

Haani.

Sacar would have been in the running if he had made his freakin' free throws.
Have some patience, FFS.

I hope this isn't the norm for Sacar. I'd really like to avoid having another guard that can't hit FT's.

He had an entire red-shirt year to work on his FT shooting.

SOTG should honestly be Lindenwood for hopefully scarring some life into this team both Offense and Defense. I'm not one to get worked up but what the flip was that today?

skianth16

For me, it was Sam. I thought he had a good, complete game. He was a little slow getting started, but he had a good second half.

Sam. Cheatham was good too.

A SOTG when we beat Lindenwood by 2 points? Sad.

+1 billion.

I'd have to go Hauser. Most complete player on the floor today. Cheatham and Anim with honorable mention.

Maybe, but I think it's fair to have some criticisms of this game. That we were never able to actually take control against a D2 opponent with our starters playing the entire game isn't something to rouse confidence.

MomofMUltiples

We didn't have Rowsey or John in the lineup. It's a good indication on how vulnerable we are at pg - student fans should surround Drewski everywhere he goes on campus and make sure he doesn't so much as stub his toe this season.

Anyway, a W is a W. And it was an exhibition designed to shake some rust of. More rust than we thought, and lots to work on, but a W gets a stud.

Hanni by a wide margin.  Had Sacar even made 60% of his free throws it would have been him.  And I thought Matty played decent ball but we don't win BEast games with Matty leading the way.

So if Sacar made 1 more free throw, he would eliminate the "wide margin" between Haani & him, and even surpass Haani?

So, so strange.

Sam was 6-8 for 20 points. 5 rebounds. Leading scorer. Played generally good defense. He is going to be underappreciated all year, isn't he

Simple answer, yes.  Because he had two chances on momentum building 'and ones' and failed both times.  Each time Sacar had a chance to build on the energy of the moment he didn't succeed.  I still loved his game but at the most important moments he failed to be 'a stud'.  Not everything is a box score JB.  But from Minny that wouldn't be possible to see.  I guess I'll amend my 60% to be 'hitting the and ones'.   ;D
