I sure hope it was an empty beer, otherwise that is a waste of perfectly good beer.

How many "good" beers did you have in college?

Any beer I could get my hands on was a good beer in college.

He got drunk and threw a beer off a balcony. Didn't hit anyone or anything, besides the ground. Nothing serious. The suspension is just a slap on the hand. Enjoying the last few weeks before the season starts

I can so picture Rowsey doing this.  But kudos to Wojo for the suspension.  By the time you're a 5th year senior, you should know better than to waste beer.

My son is a senior at the Kelley School at I-4.  This weekend I visited him, opened his fridge and said, "I can't believe that college seniors would have no beer in their fridge!"  He said, "yes we do Dad.  It's on the bottom, see?."  After noticing that the only items on the bottom shelf were cans of Keystone Light, I again said, "I can't believe that college seniors would have no beer in their fridge!"

HILLTOP SENIOR SURVEY from 1984 Yearbook:
Favorite Drinking Establishment:

1. The Avalanche.              7. Major Goolsby's.
2. The Gym.                      8. Park Avenue.
3. The Ardmore.                 9. Mugrack.
4. O'Donohues.                 10. Lighthouse.
5. O'Pagets.
6. Hagerty's.

Seems like a lot of posts from Mr. Dodds site recently......is that cool with him (and the mods)?  I honestly don't know.

Cool with him?  Well, posters have been including links.  So he can''t complain (plus, he's posting old news and public knowledge).

As for us, we welcome links to your sources, unlike Dodd's who will ban you for posting links to other sites.

The rock bottom we hit with beer was probably Red Dog. Keystone and Natty Lite were a regular staple.

Not a good start to the season. If we are going to win this year, we need him to hit the open shots from deep.

Wrong o...:

The "Fine Rhine" was the worst garbage ever brewed. Old Milwaukee was a close second.

Boxer was the cheapest at discount per oz. 36 for $11. It was god awful but I  thought keystone was worse.

Back in the day my dad mentioned that something called Old Bullfrog was the only beer he simply couldn't stomach. And just for a sense of perspective, Blatz was his 'regular'. I convinced him when I was in college to movee up to High Life or PBR or the top shelf Genuine Draft when we had company over.

I stocked and delivered for Richie and Pauly (and the Old Man-they could have had a reality show like "Pawn Stars") at Marquette Liquors my senior year.  Three days a week, I would deliver a few cans of soup, two packs of Virginia Slims and a six pack of Schaeffer Tall Boys to an old cat lady living in the Ardmore.  And she'd always tip me at least .75 cents.  I loved that job.

$3.89 for a case of returnable bottles (if you got your deposit back).  Living.

When I was a young man, I loved me some Schaefer when in CT.  It was PBR all the way in Milwaukee, or Chopper would have let me know about it (though I liked PBR, too.  Used to be unlimited free beer in the hospitality house on the last tour on Friday for an hour or so.  Started a few fun weekends on that tour.)

You admit that? Geez!

There was never a shortage of PBR when I was at MU.  The brewery was six blocks away and 99% of the free beer on campus was Pabst. I think the brewery gave it away to encourage life-long loyalty.

Boxer was the best bang for your buck with the slightly higher ABV and 6 extra cans. However you paid the price the next morning on the commode...

Speaking of Chopper, did you ever hear the infamous "lead pipe" recording???
