6'3, 168lbs.   Talks about his game, playing with Rowsey and Howard, scouting reports on the newcomers and Sacar.

Thanks for sharing.  6'3", 168.

Like Katin, he seems to think Sacar is going to be able to contribute.  From the extremely limited look we got of him (pretty much the overseas trip prior to his freshman year), I liked what he brought to the table.  He seems like he should have the size and athleticism to guard the 1-3.  If his shooting and ball handling have improved as much as the players seem to suggest, I wouldn't be shocked if he was playing a major roll, possibly even starting at the 3.

Greg Elliot has a clear path to being a very good player for MU. All he needs to do is build his body up to withstand the rigors of Big East play. I think that is something totally in his control .

Early in his high school career he was a defensive specialist and feeder as there were older offensive threats ahead of him. So he comes to MU with a very good mindset that will serve us well.

Mr Dodds has referenced his game as similar to Micheal Wilson which is a tremendous compliment.

He is a perfect recruit, has to mature physically to be a star in college which could get him to the NBA.  That might take him 4 years, good for MU.  You either win with 5 stars or junior or seniors.  The freshman class might not be ranked high but in 4 years those 4 kids might be really good.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

It sounds like Elliott and John might be the two freshmen who are most ready to play this season.

"Mr" Dodds also compared Aaron Rodgers to Randy Wright.  I wouldn't be surprised if John's Blue & Gold glasses led him to believe Tom Crean was still coaching MU.

I said earlier that Elliot will be the one that plays the most. John will play more early, but his time will decrease when Froling becomes eligible. Sacar could limit Elliot's playing time. Otherwise, we are extremely thin at guard.

Only if you look at traditional positioning.

We have Markus, Rowsey, Elliot, Anim and Haanif who could play that position with ease, and Sam and Cain can slide in there when we go big.

Making  assumptions about playing time based on a few preseason comments from an assistant coach is usually a silly exercise.

Exactly--that was a high school interview at best.

It is still more first hand info than has been posted by anybody from here.  Blue and gold glasses?  Check.  Not a great interview?  Check.  Number of scoopers at media day asking any questions and then bringing the answers here?  So, yeah, the one-eyed man is king among the blind.

I think Mr. Dodds is directionally accurate and has the day to day sightings of what is going on so there is value .He is closely associated with the team so it's hard for him to be totally candid and instead makes excuses for things like the sightlines at the Bradley Center for bad shooting ( as if the other team does not have the same problem)

I also respect him for putting up a good website .

I am very much pro the Detroit Triplets and believe they are the key to our return to the promised land, and Mr Dodds is in my camp thereto. Hence , my support and willingness to ignore the rose colored glasses and various excuses. Also he was more open minded and willing to temporarily indulge Mr. Ners , who has deep knowledge of our program.
