According to the fabulously named Ben Steele on Twitter.  Hurt it diving for a loose ball.

Will be getting the sling off on Thursday and will "ramp up from there."  I have no idea what that means in terms of having him ready for the season, but six weeks seems likely plenty without a set back.

After Luke, the training staff should know how to handle it.  Hopefully, not a nagging problem until off season surgery.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Did it say he needed off season surgery?  If so, I missed it...

Remington......I mean Ben Steele is off to a nice start. He has already provided more information in a few weeks than Enlund did in his whole tenure....... 8-)

Sounds like the ole I4 no out of bounds rule strikes again.

Red shirt?
Develop PG skills and an off hand during the off year?

Eh. If he still is hurt sure. But otherwise I don't think so. Smart player. Good defender.

I agree.  Hanni is a Junior and his leadership is important.  Of course an ongoing health issue changes that.

Depends on the degree of the separation, but he should be back in less than a month

Yup, I had a second degree separation once, certainly wasnt comfortable but you can still do things. Usually you don't need surgery/surgery doenst even help with most shoulder seperations.

Only have 10 players available for the first semester, doubt they would redshirt him unless it was for health reasons

I know you missed the word "hopefully" in my post.

Luke and Hanni's injuries are completely different.  Only thing similar is the fact that they are near each other in the shoulder.  If no surgery was needed for the separation, he was probably in the sling for protection and will progress as he feels comfortable.
