The world track and field championship concluded today in London.  Murtaz Essa Basrshim of Qatar won the men's high jump world championship.  He is clearly the best high jumper in the world and his personal best is 7'11.5", less than one-inch below the 8' 0.25" in world record set in 1993 by Cuba's Javier Sotomayor.  Everyone thinks Barshim will take it out.

So how good is Barshim?  In the last 10 seconds of this 41-second video of him warming up earlier today, he HURDLES the bar when set a 6'4".  And he did it with his sweats on!  When asked about it, he said he has HURDLED 6' 8" in practice.

The man is in higher class from everyone else.

Incidentally, he is about 6'2" and he hurdled 6' 4".  Cannot imagine many people that can HURDLE more than their height.
