Doesn't mean much other than being one guy's opinion of where we are right now - but lunardi has us as next four out as of today - prol fair considering who we are losing and our bad final two games - but i think we have a higher ceiling next year than where we got this year FWIW

Yeesh.  The offseason is so useless with these "way too early" projections (if they're way too early, why make them?).  USA Today's way-too-early preseason top 25 has one BEast team - Nova at #20 - and a few just outside 25 (none of them MU).  I know folks need to keep CBB alive in the summer but face it, nobody knows nuthin about what teams are going to look like next year.  It's all just a formula - who's going + who's coming + program tradition = Duke, Kentucky, North Carolina, blah, blah, blah.  I plan to ignore such things until November.
I mean, OK, maybe he's secretly a serial killer who's pulled the wool over our eyes with his good deeds and smooth jumper - Pakuni (on Markus Howard)

I'll say it again. I'd rather be under the radar and shock people than be a shoo-in and disappoint.

With apologies to Desi and Lucy, my feeling about Lunardi is: "You gonna have lots of 'splainin to do" when MU makes a deep run in next year's NCAAs.

And how frequently does this happen?

I'd rather consistently be expected to be top 10 and consistently deliver.

I see your top 10 and raise you a national championship every year. And I'd rather Wisconsin and ND get hit with the death penalty over NCAA violations.
