Yes, he's the one who convinced Duane he could play point guard as a professional with a year of Division I experience.

The hill is high, best of luck making the climb, Duane.  Pretty much everyone here will be pleased if you make it.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I think Wojo had the most to do with this.  Followed by Isaac Chew.  It's good to be wanted.

Clearly he reads scoop and assumed all the posters on TAMU scoop will be as positive and suave as me.

More likely he reads Scoop and realized there is no TAMU Scoop.

Markus Howard is better than almost every D1 PG. Roswey is an offenseive beast. Duane wanted PT at that spot. He went somewhere he could get it (or was told he could get it). End of story.

Marcus is one of the most talented guards in the country but his true point guard skills, at this point, are lacking.  Some people will tell you our biggest Grad Transfer need is a PG.  Rowsey is similar.   Ballhandling, dealing with pressure were big issues for this team and appear to be next year too barring big improvements from current roster.

Tell me about Duane's PG skills. If they were so great he would have had more PT here.

The Lens

The jury is out on Duane. My point is those counting on Marcus should realize he's much more a 2 or combo.

GGGG

He's a combo guard.  College basketball is filled with combo guards running point.  That's what you should expect from MU moving forward.

An old time favorite of mine was Aaron Hutchins.  A great HS player who was underrecruited because he was a 2G in a point guards body.  Awfully hard to stop as in his time at MU.

+1 - Duane is one guy who left Marquette via transfer that I will always root for.  Always got the impression he was a humble kid who worked hard and who accepted and did whatever was asked of him the best he could.

at last, no Buzz players remain.  8-)

Hope he enjoys the cult that is A&M before heading off to Europe for what should be a long of fruitful career.

This has to be all about......

Chew.....Chew.....Chew.....

Probably a little tampering been going on for a long time.....

I wish Duane well.....

The last official Buzz class person his staff can tamper with.....

Watch the Virginia kid transfer to VTech or A&M......All depends who was his main recruiter......But probably an ACC rule prohibiting Buzz from poaching.....

Again another Toronto kid......We need to start spending time in that market......A lot of kids going to high major programs out of that city......Could be bigger in size than Chicago......A real quiet sleeper......

It's bigger but nowhere near the quality of youth programs
