Good read on Butler's Chris Holtman (tiny MU reference)
« on: March 09, 2017, 06:55:32 AM »
I've always been a big fan of Doyel's in your face, tell-it-like-it-is delivery (he often rails on Crean).

We've been in Butler's shoes with entertaining the worry of a coach leaving.

Butler is incredibly unique.  I put going to Hinkle not too terribly far off experiencing Cameron.  The Big East lure will continue to pay dividends for Butler recruiting.

Good read.  I wold argue that while Butler is in the same state as IU, Purdue and Notre Dame, the recruiting footprint doesn't overlap.  Butler has a system that is very successful, and they recruit the players that fit that system.  The type of players that Butler would recruit aren't the same ones that the other three would recruit.  Is there some overlap, yes, but it's not that Butler has to go head to head against the other 3 for every single recruit day in, day out.

Notre dame recruits the NE.
Butler purdue recruit the midwest
Crean is considered weird by indiana hs coaches n is therefore recruiting the washington dc area heavily now, no indiana recruits
