The haters are demotivated by Wojo's ability to go step for step with Buzz in their rebuild despite Buzz having an extra recruiting class to aid him.

Fire Wojo.

Couldn't land us Kostas, couldn't hold on to Sandy or Traci, only reasons why we haven't been ranked all year.

Great win by the guys. I only hoped for a gutty performance and they provided it. Well done, fella's!!

Class71

It was a great win tonight. I expect the vast majority of people on this site want us to win. Even those who are frustrated at times and blame the coaching hope for a successful season. That is why people watch the games. If Wojo is a great coach fantastic. I think most agree they would like nothing more than see success for this team and the coaching staff. Tonight was a big step forward. Let us continue the journey, enjoy the win and stay focused on the next game..

Some people are only happy when they are unhappy.    MU got a big road win, clearly they don't need the counseling from the nattering nabobs of negativism.

Great game last night - good d and awesome shooting.  KR really in a groove the last few games!

i would say this win was a real real close 2nd to nova because-

      1) we really did NEED it

      2) it showed we could WIN on the road and in a hostile place AND on their senior night

      3) we did not wilt-what?  the foul trouble-X was in the bonus at just under the 14 min. mark of the 2nd half.  guys were accumulating fouls faster than a dude shot out of a procto exam.  this has been the area we have typically have failed to seal the deal.  some of the calls could have really demoralized-they didn't.

so what did we do?  we shot the pi$$ out of the ball and the announcers were friggin impressed. and we didn't give them any reason to not be. every time X tried to make a run and keep their fans in their seats, that 17 year old, rouse, k-man, jjjjjjj, doogie, et.al. would throw in a "blue darter".  there were many many moments in the game where i thought, here it comes-our 7 minute drought...IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!  i was concerned because the announcers kept talking like we had this in the bag at like the 8-10 mark of the 2nd half, but...

think of this game this way-you are an outsider.  you follow college ball more than the average fan.  you're watching this game-it just had to grab you.  it had to send a few shudders down your spine thinking your team has to play us.  loved how the announcers drank the MU kool-aid for a change.  i'll bet the X board is bitchin right now about the announcers being all MU-well it's about time we get some accolades, and so very well deserved, eyyn'a fellas?

Was it a big win? Yes. Signature win for Wojo? Debatable. I think Bucky on the road or Nova. The first Xavier win this year may have been a bigger win as it stopped a slide.

X is a wounded duck and is soldier crawling toward the finish line. This game was big in that this team finished off an opponent it should have.

I agree with this, I would say we did something last night that has been our bugaboo  -- consistently winning the games against the wounded/flawed.

I think this is key.  The frustration this year is the failure to close out games we should win.  This is growth.

Bigger than Nova.

After a real heartbreaking game at Providence, they came out and laid it to a struggling, but still very good Xavier team.

If you can't see progress yet, you are willfully blind.

Bigger than Nova?  Biggest win of the Wojo era?   No. Hopeful for the tourney, but let's face it, we're the cardiac kids. No lead is safe.

we played great defense?  We allowed 50+ points in the second half.

Here's what it really is... a clutch road win at crunch time against a team with a losing BE record who has lost 6 straight.  But, it may be enough.

OK OK OK...

Maybe I got too caught up in the excitement.  But I really like how these guys are playing.  Hell we can't defend anyone - might as well double down on the offense.  Go all in.

Of course, plane rides are completely excused.  As are health reasons, trips to Hawaii, and maybe even weddings.  But if you live in northern Illinois as we do or southeast Wisconsin there are no lame arse excuses allowed.  Don't lazy out and still claim you're a Warrior.  No excuse if it's not SRO.  Wojo personally asked for all of us on the postgame.

$58 for ah 3.5 star Downtown hotel on Hotwire. No excuses. Get you butt in the car and get to the BC on Saturday.
Have some patience, FFS.

Ugh bagpiping in the forest park st Patrick's day parade so it goes from "totally going" to not sure if I can even watch the game :(

Okay, okay. I'll add bagpiping in a parade to the 'eligible excuse' list.
But you're pushin' my buttons!  ;D

In London this weekend visiting my I-4 kid who's there for the semester.

Side question, I got a call a few days ago in my office from someone at MU asking if I wanted tickets for the game.  Anyone else get such a call?  I know they want a packed house for senior day but haven't gotten calls like that before.  I didn't return the call since I'll be out of the country and would've gone if it weren't for the bad planning of the trip during Senior Day.

I think the problem is the games we should have won and choked away this year.  We could have been easily in the tournament already.

That inconsistency is the gripe those folks have...

Plus, have you listened to Chicago sports radio?  Its toxic as hell... our trolls are probably the guys that CALL INTO those shows.

Thanks Glow.

I have been working in California all week. Fly back to South Florida Friday night and am back in the air on Wednesday. I appreciate the dispensation and will look for you and Chick on TV Saturday.

Otherwise, I'd be there too. We have been harsh at times on JjJ and Big Fishy. But these guys stuck with us through some of the thinnest days in MU history and have played big roles  in our revival. Thanks Guys!!!
