I dont wear low's for basketball, prefer more ankle support, however they were on the lighter side

Well they're a low (less materials), and it's a woven/flyknit upper for most of it.  I mean compared to your traditional basketball shoe, these are pretty light.  I've played in the regular 31s and they felt good.   

I go here when I shop around for basketball shoes.  Guy does a real good job with performance reviews:
