I think it's because of Wade.  I'm not sure of the timeline, but we were a Converse brand for a couple years when Wade was with them.  Converse was bought out by Nike and Wade signed with Jumpman.  MU eventually became a JB school and has stayed with it despite Wade leaving Jordan for Li-Ning.

Would be interesting to know if he negotiated for Marquette to be Jumpman as part of his contract, or did Nike offer Jumpman to Marquette to entice him to sign?

Loved that some of the team was rocking them on Saturday against Creighton. They looked even better in person. I actually liked the spelling out of Marquette look on the heels after seeing them in person. Originally I was of the opinion that could have been improved by have M and U on each or MU on both.

Reminds me of our Converse warmups a few years back with the striped trim.  Warmups also came in navy like the shoe.
