Me too.  From now until March 26th is the best time of the year, IMO.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

0-4 tonight. Yikes. Fortunately, none of them were terribly significant other maybe Illinois State winning as expected against Evansville.

TONS of action tomorrow. First one is at 11 AM

0-4? Monmouth and Wichita State both won, wouldn't that make for 2-2 in hopes of getting potential at large teams into automatic bids?

.....yes. Don't listen to me. I was clearly drunk. Actually, I was just so used to cheering against those teams that I forgot that we are cheering for them now.

New update. Lots of action! First game is in 30 minutes

13-14 on Saturday. Lots of our former opponents won for a good boost. TCU, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and UT-Arlington are all done. Cal and Illinois have no chance of passing us. Lots of chalk in the conference tourneys.

Best of all, a Marquette victory. Get them dancing shoes ready. We'll keep this updated though until our name is called a week from now.

Utah is not making the NCAA tournament, so they won't be getting seeded, unless you're referring to the P12 tournament.

Correct, kind of...I was referring to PAC-12 tourney, but careful, if they win a game of so in conference tourney, they ARE in the dance.  Presently, 20-10/11-7 in a sneaky tough conference.  Larry k is an under the radar good coach

1-6 versus RPI top 50. Only win @ home vs USC. 3-9 versus RPI top 100. Other wins at home versus stanford and Cal. Lost to Oregon State. RPI in mid 70s. Only two teams of note they played in non con were Butler and X, and they lost both those games.

If they went bonkers in the P12 tournament and somehow beat a couple of Oregon, UCLA and Arizona maybe they could sneak in the last 4, but I doubt they'll do enough. The P12 is not good after the top 3.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Sneaky good conference? They have been consistently ranked as the weakest of the Power 6 conferences this season.

Updated with today's games. Not too much action. Wisconsin and Michigan could help us with a slight RPI boost. Monmouth playing to prevent a bid thief. MVC Championship will determine if it is a 1 or 2 bid league.

I'm having a problem rooting for the Rodents. One unexpected thing is that I am watching it on the B10 network, which I'm not supposed to get.

How much of a bump would a Wisky win give our RPI? I really don't want to root for them unless the effect is significant.

The announcers showed the UW infographic during our game last year. They have exactly 0 signature wins. Their best wins are:
-vs Maryland
-vs Syracuse
-vs Michigan
-@ Us

If this team gets a 7 seed sans a run through their conference tournament, it's on reputation alone. 22+ wins is 22+ wins, but there is nothing to write home about there.

As Rosanna Rosannadanna would say, never mind. Watching the game, I was treated to the sight of Richard Pitino. Christ! The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Go, Badgers.

I loved the 7.5 line so much I bet on the Gophers for the first time all year. Of course that is all Wisco needed to break out of their slump.
I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Think of it as a win-win. Either we get to see Bucky lose or get our RPI boosted.

Updated with today's game. Chance to put some bid stealers to bed. Howard and IUPUI in action with a chance to bolster MU's RPI.

3-1 so far tonight. IUPUI got smoked, Gonzaga made the championship, no bid stealer from the CAA, and Howard managed a win. If St. Mary's can get past BYU than the WCC will be safe from a bid-stealer.

Updated. ACC tournament gets started today, so a couple of bubble teams in action. Also, a former MU opponent is their conference final with a chance for an auto-bid.

A couple others with marginal interest...

Nebraska-Omaha v South Dakota State (8:00, ESPN2)
Marginally helps our RPI more to cheer for UNO, and you can say "I always knew they'd be this good after seeing them beat Marquette at the BC!"

Milwaukee v Northern Kentucky (6:00, ESPN)
UW-M helps our RPI marginally, but that's more than the zero-impact NKU. And they're local, so let's get another Wisconsin-based team in the Dance. Maybe they pull off a 16/1 upset and we can get to 40-0 against them in the second round ;D

Wouldn't a UWM win also help Marquette in that they would be guaranteed to be in the play-in game, so then they would be forced to put 2 (16) seeds in Dayton and only have room for 2 at large bids, moving Marquette even farther up the bubble?

I think each year is two 16 seed games and two at-large bubble games in the Play-in games. I don't think it would have an effect.
