The Golden Eagles (17-10, 8-7 BIG EAST) went 12-of-24 from deep to push their season total to 275 makes, breaking the 2009-10 squad's record of 274 3-pointers. Their 159 3-pointers in BIG EAST play this season also breaks the previous record of 149 from the same year.

That was my thought. We didn't just break their record, we did it in 7 fewer games. Could easily crack 300 makes this year.

When TAMU texted me to tell me we broke that record, I immediately responded "who held it before? Zar and the midgets?" There hasn't been another team I can remember that shot like 2010 (until this year).
