Who edits these? Is attending a sporting event really considered a milestone worthy of publishing? Congrats to those that actually have accomplishments to share and not to those who treat it as a social media update.

"lifelong Chicago sports fan, attending the third game of the World Series, in Cleveland." Chicago... game 3 was held in Chicago. Not hard to verify. Also, a picture of a paused tv screen is really not necessary to propel my imagination.

Natural resources were extinguished in the process of printing this gem.

Time to raise the standard.

I was pretty proud of my Capn Crunch / Lucky Charms combo for breakfast this morning.

Where do I submit?

MerrittsMustache

I also went to a World Series game at Wrigley and my kids have come with me to most MU games this season. Dang! I missed my 15 Minutes!

GGGG

They print pretty much whatever is submitted just like pretty much any college magazine.

Although I would like to scold MU Magazine for printing these updates, I don't want to impose guidelines about submissions. It would be a waste and I'm not the fun police. I wish people would use discretion when wanting to inform the general public about their lives. Does anyone have an ounce of dignity these days?

Have you been on social media lately? It's 99% mundane.

Hahaha! I'll see if I can get something in.

Damn...he graduated the year I was born. Thought he was older.

Oh he skews older.  And he graduated MU Law School in 1985.  Topper was just guessing.

Hope you tipped well.

Benny approves of this thread.  And everything that's about to happen.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

We sometimes used armored up hummers in the sandbox - I hated every second I had to spend in one. Much preferred to drop in. Fewer IEDs at 28,000'.

I spent a year dodging Iraqi IEDs while bouncing along in an armored Humvee.  The sides took things pretty well, underneath not so much.
