I agree with this. It is sad, but I just do not want to sugarcoat anything.

This is just entirely false.   .. Like .. a Win is a win, even if it's ugly. 

Making the tourney in a frustrating way is still .. making the tourney.    It's great progress from NOT making any tourney for 3 years.   

Wojo is still a young coach.  Eeking into the tourney in year 3 is a success any way it happens.

I agree with this logic wholeheartedly.   Unfortunately we have no chance of Eeking it in unless we win the BE.  Possible, but not likely.

I said after the first Seton Hall game that we gave away that that loss would be far more frustrating if I actually thought this team had any chance of making the NCAA this year.  Call me a pessimist if you like but I didn't think they did before the season started and that calculation hasn't changed.  After the NOVA win I desperately wanted to go on here and let everyone know that that W should not fool anyone into thinking we're better than we are but resisted the urge due to fear of retribution.  Nothing would make me happier than to be wrong, but we are what we are.   Our trajectory is heading in the right direction so I'm not calling for a new coaching administration yet, but man it's frustrating.

Who says it has to be a fan of another program?  And yes at this point we will make a tourney and we would deserve to.

If the committee decides MU is then we deserve it. It's not like we're forcing our own way in.

And even one and done is better than not making it.

Well this year, the last 10-12 teams probably won't "deserve" to make the tourney, but guess what - they take 68 teams and need to fill the field.  There will several under .500 P6 conference teams in the dance.

Pretty unlikely we fall to the 7 spot and need to win 4 in the BET.  More likely 3.  Still...going to very tough.  Getting 3 or 4 of the final 5 regular season games is definitely an easier path.

"We don't deserve to make the tournament" is an opinion. Even if 1 million people share that opinion (they don't), it's still an opinion, not a fact.

Even trolls are allowed opinions; the interwebs encourage free speech.

But opinions are not facts ... at least not until an executive order decrees it so!

Sports are not about who deserves it the most. If you win you get the accolades and chances to participate in tournaments.
If MU does not take care of Xavier on Saturday (in front of a near sold out crowd) then it is not winning the games to get to where it needs to be. Simple as that, not a matter of if they deserve to or not.
