Toughness and rebounding. These kids are really clicking.

Wojo is outcoaching JTIII?

Toughness and rebounding are adjustments that can be made in game?

GGGG

This has everything to do with a shortcoming in personnel. That is ultimately on Wojo but nothing to do with coaching. Not enough length.

Not enough length, not enough strength. Also, not enough quickness, not enough athletic ability.

We're talking about a Georgetown team that is barely above .500 and is getting dominated in conference play. If you think we don't have enough athleticism and toughness to compete against this team, then who could we ever beat in a power conference?

I think those arguments are garbage. We're not outmatched, we're just getting outplayed right now. There was a comment earlier in the first half that we're running plays but not playing offense, and I think that's the problem today. Too much time spent going through the motions and not enough competitiveness.

We are consistently outcoached and in comparing quickness and physicality of other Big East teams, one can definitely say that Wojo is not recruiting the right players.  Add them both up and it is a recipe for disaster.

It is looking like Villanova fell asleep and gifted us a win and Creighton was trying to figure out how to play without their best player.  We are clearly not a tournament team and might finish 8th or 9th in our conference in year 3 of the Wojo era.

This is what happens when University leadership requires the program to bring in choir boys.

Soft, soft, soft.

Im dreading to see what this place is gonna be like when Xavier beats us down at home in a week.

It's 100% personnel. People on this board are morons. You have Reinhardt and Hauser playing PF in the big east and guards that weight MAYBE 180 pounds. They got destroyed in the lane today. How is that coaching?

Same guys were losing their mind over the Shaka hire, he's been worse at Texas. Way more talent in Texas. I'm excited about the young guys on the team, two really good freshman and a solid defender in Cheatham. Froling can fill fischer's spot without much problem and finally some PF help with Eke and John.

Remember 3 months ago when there was concern about finding minutes for everyone?  The arc of this season was cast when wojo failed to land a 4.   Simply not enough size to compete when we aren't raining 3s.

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

A bit blunt, but agreed. We can't defend the paint with slow footed Luke as our only big body. Next year's added length will help the defense. Hopefully more physical maturity for our youngsters, and Duane and Rowsey provide senior leadership. Not at all ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater, but this has been a frustrating couple weeks.

The fact that this sentiment is popular on the boards shows how far we've fallen in the Wojo era. Years 1 and 2 I can understand as a rebuild. But we're 2 weeks out from beating 2 top 10 teams, and we're already trying to find positives for next year. We should be talking about seeding. We should be 3rd or 4th in the conference. And we should be looking forward to another resume boost next weekend against X. But instead, we're talking about Nov. 2017. This is not the way this season should be winding down.

Its either coaching or recruiting.  Pick one or both but its all on Wojo.

Amen...very frustrating.  Hate to give up on a coach in year 3 without fully having his full program in place but man this is frustrating.

Stretchdeltsig

Really disappointing game and season.  Worst defense ever.  We don't defend the rim.  And, we didn't have one fast break basket.  What the hell is going on?
